About this listen

'Family secrets, new horizons and a gorgeous continent-crossing romance . . . prepare to be swept away!' LUCY DIAMOND

HOW DO YOU FIND WHERE YOU'RE GOING, IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU'RE FROM?

Angie has always wanted to travel. But at twenty-seven, she has barely stepped outside the small mining town where she was born. Instead, she discovers the world through stories told to her by passing travellers, dreaming that one day she'll see it all for herself.

When her grandmother passes away, leaving Angie with no remaining family, she is ready to start her own adventures. Then she finds a letter revealing the address of the father she never knew, and realises instantly where her journey must begin: Italy.

As Angie sets out to find the truth – about her family, her past and who she really is – will mysterious and reckless Italian Alessandro help guide the way?

'Heart-warming, wistful and full of joy . . . Paige Toon tugs on the heartstrings like no other; this is a beautiful book about someone searching for her place in the world and finding herself along the way' LINDSEY KELK

Loved every minute

Paige Toon is probably my favourite author and her books never disappoint. An excellent performance from the narrator made a dull day at work much more interesting! Highly recommended.

My favourite author- every story is a great escape

Love Paige Toons stories, most books link with another by having a main character feature as a side character in a story. Very clever as it feels like you know the people in the story better than what is provided on the page. I have read all the grown up books, and some of the teen/ young adult books too. Can’t go wrong with her books if you like romance.

Not a light hearted book

Lots of deaths! Good book but not light hearted - good for travellers who like to hear books about travelling

Paige Toon never disappoints

Been eagerly awaiting this book for months and as usual Paige Toon never disappoints. I’ve read and listened to all of her books multiple times and I know this will already be another one I listen to time and time again. I’m already eager to press play again.
You can tell how much time and research she puts into every aspect of it especially the locations she’s writing about. You feel like your right there in these lovely places experiencing everything Angie is. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Siobhan: Gloriously life-affirming story

I've just finished listening to this beautifully written & excellently narrated book. Loved it! Feels like I've been on holiday!
I didn't want it to end. I'm already missing all of the charming characters brought to life by a dedicated, talented narrator. Excellently adept at consistency with foreign accents, of which there are many. Her ability to bring emotion & warmth to the bright & breezy main character, Angie, making you feel like you've made a new friend. This is my 5th Paige Toon book. I've loved them all. Paige has that rare ability to give life to her characters. She paints every scene, with colour & vibrancy, vividly describing each minute detail. Weaving a rich tapestry that infuses your imagination and your minds eye. I'm eagerly deciding which Paige Toon book to read next. I will seek out this truly excellently talented narrator. She's awesome!
