Such a fun time!!
The Audiobook for this book is great, flawless dual narration
I have been following Katee Robert since I read her Wicked Villains Series. I love her writing style and, so far, that woman can write no wrong for me; I have not yet been disappointed.
All and all, this is the lightest spiced book I have read from her, but it was such an easy and cosy read with a trend of fated mates.
This book is perfect for reader who are fans of pirates, mythical creatures and romance with a bit of smut.
Evelyn, is such a fun character, a gold hearted witch who has a few small downsides; she is a bit stubborn, impulsive, and with very sticky fingers.
After stealing from her vampire ex, she runs away falling through a portal to another realm; unfortunately for her, she lands in the middle of the sea and is fished out of the waters by a band of pirates and their handsome telekinetic captain. She's immediately given a choice to join their group or be left in the sea to die.
The MMC, Bowen, and his crew are bound by vow to patrol through Threshold, the magical sea between realms, keeping the portals to other worlds safe on the behest of ancient gods.
He is just such a marshmallow broody guy. He is trying to keep his captaincy on the ship until this witch comes on board and starts challenging his unquestionable obedience to his rulers and their cause.
