About this listen
When you’re competing, the last thing you should do is fall in love...especially with your rival.
Wren turned up out of nowhere and now he’s my boss...kind of. He’s also a straight, closed-off, emotionless icicle. Who cares if he’s also drop dead gorgeous, with eyes you could get lost in?
Tom is beautiful, colorful, strong, creative, and my eyes can’t stop following him everywhere he goes. He also works for my parents, which means he’s off limits. That, and I haven’t told them that I’m bi yet.
A baking competition with high stakes. Two men who both need that prize money.
When the heat moves from the kitchen to the bedroom, will Tom and Wren put their rivalry aside? Or is what they stand to lose more important than their growing feelings?
Welcome to Chester Falls, where you can expect to meet sweet men, sexy situations, interfering friends, lots of feels, and a happy ever after.
Book two in the Chester Falls series. How To Catch a Rival is a standalone sweet and steamy MM romance novel with no cliffhanger, and a guaranteed HEA.

Even better than book 1
Loved this audio book.
Tom is Charlie's (book 1) best friend. And he's Fabulous.
Wren is closeted (in Chester Falls) but the attraction between him and Tom is instantaneous. Combined with the baking show aspect of the story and a great narrator I found this an easy and (mostly) stress free listen.

sugary sweet and deliciously steamy
I loved Tom and Wren! Oh my goodness Tom is a bubble of sunshine and fabulousness. I loved meeting him in How to Catch a Prince and loved his own HEA! Wren was so caring and sweet right from the start and I'm so glad there wasn't any silly back and forth and miscommunication. These two are perfect together and I look forward to seeing them cameo in more stories from Chester Falls!
Nick has done a fantastic job narrating this one and his various dialects and accents between characters are flawless! I look forward to hearing more if Nick too!!!!

Enjoyable characters, fun light storyline
How can you not love Tom? He’s just so very Tom. He has the neatest turns of phrase and is so enthusiastic about life!
Ren took a bit more warming up to, as he lived up to his “ice man” nickname at first.
Together these two are wonderful. They balance out each other beautifully.
And if you can suspend disbelief that a small town has a $10000 prize for an amateur baking competition, this has a subplot sure to appeal to bakers as well as those who are more on the Pinterest-fails end of the spectrum.
Chester falls continues to appeal as does the cast of characters making up the town. The unresolved tension which causes discord late in the book is resolved in a maybe oversimplified manner, but it serves the plot well.
All in alll, an enjoyable tale with amazing narration by Nick Hudson - the man has impeccable timing and fabulous voice talents.

WOW!
After the wonderful book 1, this second book followed another couple of Chester Falls finding love. The story of Wren and Tom is funny and interesting. I enjoyed a lot the banter between the main characters in the middle of all the romance and hot scenes. Also, seeing characters from book 1 appear in this one created the ambience in the world of Chester Falls. The cherry on top is the amazing performance of Mr Hudson who made this story even more enjoyable. Loved It!

Easy listen. Loved Tom
Tom was a fabulous character. Loved him and all his Coco Chanel quotes. Fun sweet story.
I did think the prize amount for a baking contest didn't really past the smell test but it was a cute storyline for a rival enemies-to-lovers trope. I was also confused with the conclusion to the contest part - seemed out of place so it didn't make sense. I'm assuming that part feeds into the next book???? But these are small and didn't really take away from the overall enjoyment.
looking forward to book 3.

Really enjoyed listening
I loved it. This series it amazing and I've loved them all. Tom and Wren are fantastic together I love reading characters who are confident been who they are. I listened to book 3 before I listened to this book and I was intrigued about Tom and Wrens story. Tom is sassy and adorable and Wren is guarded, he is not out to his family and he's just had to give up his career as a football player. The rivalry between them made for an enjoyable read. I can't wait to see what more this series offers.

Sweet and entertaining
I enjoyed this sweet, entertaining, pretty low-angst listen. Tom is loud and colorful, while Wren is more quiet and reserved, but boy are they hot together. Their are a few twists and turns, including one surprise villain at the end that didn't really seem necessary or to really add anything to the story, but that's a minor quibble. The main and secondary characters are all great and very relatable. This is the second book in the series, and while it could be stand alone, you will get a better knowledge of who some of the supporting characters are if you have already read or listened to the first book.
The narration is excellent. Nick Hudson does a fantastic job separating the characters and giving them all distinct voices. He really brings Tom to life!
I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Holy saint unicorns!
Story: I don't even know where to start! This story was absolutely perfect!
I loved the MCs! I have never ”met” a characters I wanted to hug as much as Tom. And then get buzzed on his cocktails and talk unicorns. Absolutely brilliant!
The story itself was also perfectly balanced - the happy and the cute, and the drama, with a dash of riddiculous to round it up. It will totally be one of my top 2020 reads!
Narration: Ever since I read the book, before audio was available, I had insanely high expectations as to what Tom should sound like. The narration here more than met them! All the characters were so brilliantly performed! All the emotions are there, all the characteristics, inflections and variety! Same as the book, this was absolutely brilliant!!!!

A recipe for rivals and love.
I enjoyed this second full foray into Chester Falls. Tom and Wren are rivals in a baking contest - both have entered as they need the prize money. However there’s also a huge attraction between them.
I liked the will they won’t they/rivals to lovers storyline. I really liked returning to Chester Falls and catching up with some of the characters we met before. The end of the story sets up nicely for others and I’m looking forward to them.
Nick Hudson’s narration is spot on - I really enjoyed listening to his voices for the characters.
