About this listen

The Legacy Mobster

Fallon Maher is falling for the most unlikely person. Aspen is handsome, but he’s quiet, while Fallon is the opposite and talks enough to irritate everyone. The two men dance around their feelings, but when Fallon is injured while on a job for their boss, Aspen charges into the line of fire to help him.

The Man Who Kills for The Irish Mob Boss

Aspen Kavanagh observes before he formulates a plan to act, and he sees how much Fallon struggles to be what is necessary to survive in the Killough Company. He’s too kind for this type of work, but with the right training, he will be okay. Cillian, Rowen, and Aspen have no trouble taking lives, but it’s clearly something Fallon will need help to learn. Between Fallon getting hurt and his obvious struggle with killing, Aspen is afraid that Fallon will be removed from the Company.

Loving Against All Odds

Fallon and Aspen get closer as Fallon recovers from an injury, but then all hell breaks loose in New York City’s criminal underground. People are dead, buildings are destroyed, and business plans are ruined for more than one mob. The Irish boss, Sloan Killough, wants answers and revenge. Fallon is too injured to go out and prove himself in the ensuing chaos, but all Aspen can think about is him as he soldiers on and follows the orders of his boss. Will Aspen be able to find a way to keep Fallon with the Company, and more importantly, with him? Or will Killough’s killers have to say good-bye to their apprentice?

How Did You Survive Alone? must be listened to as part of the Irish Roulette series to get the most enjoyment out of the story. The book does not end on a cliff-hanger, but there are more Irish mob stories to come from Ki Brightly and M.D. Gregory!

Good continuation

This is a continuation of the Killough story focusing mainly on Fallon. He doesn’t quite fit in with most of the members of the Killough Company. He has no problem being a MMA fighter and winning but when it comes to torture and killing, it doesn’t fit who he is. He worries that he will not make it as part of the Company. He does what he feels he needs to so that the other members accept him.
Aspen has feelings he has trouble accepting. He does his best to not only support Fallon but to do things for him while looking out for him. Aspen goes out of his way to make Fallon happy. He takes him to a fight even though Vail isn’t real happy there.
Vail is another small part of this story. He is compared to Fallon quite a lot. Where Vail was more the center of the past stories he is really secondary here.
Then there is the side part with Cillian and Rowen. I was surprised how little jealousy there was in this group. Even though these guys are as brothers, even brothers draw a line at a certain point. Not so with these guys.
I believe the narration of Keval Shah gave the story more reality. The only part I felt he didn’t seem to fit was of the boss. He just didn’t seem to sound as I felt he should but that could be a personal opinion. I enjoy the audio editions of stories usually more than the book so I felt overall he did a good job.

Good surprise

I absolutely loved the first 2 books and the narration was outstanding. I was really disappointed learning that this one had a new narrator. But he didn’t disappoint. The narration is amazing and totally do this fantastic book justice! I adore these guys and enjoyed getting to know Aspen and Fallon better - I can’t wait to to get to know Cillian in the next one!!

Irish Roulette

I love the dynamics of these 5 men, it just works so well. Brilliantly written and narrated well with a new Narrator, which I enjoyed. Can't wait for the next instalment, hopefully none of the MC's get as hurt as Fallon did in this one. My heart won't take it

really enjoyable

this book focus on Aspin and Fallon and how they create a connection in the poly relationship that's happening throughout the series (you def need to read in order). It deals with Fallon's need to be seen, his health issues both his diabetes as well as what happened in the pervious book along with something big happening in the world. I really enjoyed the narration, I thought Kavel Shah did a great job

it just keeps getting better!!

The connections, the wit, the intrigue, the passion. These men are becoming my favorites.

So much happens and as these 5 men grow closer, they have to face so much. The story focuses on their growing connections while keeping you on the edge one minute and then laughing the next.

With Fallon and Aspen the 'focus' of this story, it's clear each of these men are forming strong connections outside of Vail and it's fantastic. I can't wait for more!! This series is totally addictive!!!
