A really nice read

If you could sum up His Omega in three words, what would they be?

This book I thoroughly enjoyed. I have read so many gay novels and felt, "I hate the reader, too camp", or "I hate the storyline, too obvious", or "It's just not realistic - mind you this storyline of the falling into the arms and love of a Prince Charming does stretch it a bit", but it gives a warm feeling without being all sex, all male (the little girl is a nice touch) and an interesting storyline. I know you could see the storyline coming but it was nicely handled. I did enjoy this book.

My honest review on m/m shifter books

When I first listened to the book before buying it was interesting listen. I like the fact that they added a French accent to it which separates the characters if you’re easily offended be warned it’s somewhat sexist but still amazing book to read

nope ... couldn't finish this...

I read a lot of M/M, shifters among them. I generally like alpha/omega or dom/sub type relations, but this one doesn't cut it. The writing is not good enough. The storytelling goes into too much detail at some points and then skips important stuff in one sentence. I know that alpha/omega/dom/sub stuff in stories often borders on what would be considered overly possessive and even abusive behaviour in real life. That is ok with me, I know it's not real and parts of it attract me - as it apparently does others since there are books enough about it.. But in this story, for me, it went too far. I found Armand just the wrong side of creepy and his behaviour reminded me too much of someone grooming a victim like loverboys do. I don't say that he IS like that, just that he reminded me of it. Also I disliked the use of some words, obviously intended to paint a picture of pack life, but to me it sounded just too disrespectful to call the females bitches all the time, for example.

I intended to complete listening to it, but I found I couldn't. At about 2/3 I couldn't stand it anymore and I quit.
If you like Mary Calmes a lot, maybe you will like this book. Personally I can't stand Mary Calmes' books (except 2 of them that I like despite the things I dislike about them :-) ).

Joel Leslie is a good narrator.
