Summary
Caitlin Tyler doesn’t do bridges - she just doesn’t know it until she lands her dream job and freezes halfway across her new town’s towering death span. Cue the cocky, infuriating fireman who goads her off the bridge. He’s hot, but he’s also exactly the kind of guy she wants to avoid, which she manages to do for a whole four hours.
Lieutenant Shane Hendricks is only two weeks away from leaving Dry Rock. He sure as hell doesn’t need to get involved with a woman he has to rescue twice in one day. The fact that she’s clearly annoyed by him doesn’t deter him from throwing down a challenge - one that proves hard to resist for all the wrong reasons.
They’re moving in different directions. Leaving should be easy, but falling for Caitlin might be the one fire he can’t put out.

Easy, light read
I liked it. Nothing extreme, just perfect to relax. Story not overly complicated, no mistery, and its refreshing to hear a story where there is a character brave enough to be straight forward about her feelings.

Dissapointing and misleading
Author's knowledge of PTSD is totaly non-existent. She reduced it to a mere fear, trivializing the profound impact it has on individuals' lives. This simplistic portrayal not only disrespects those, who suffer from PTSD but also perpetuals harmful stereotypes surrounding mental health.
What also made me very mad was firefighters and first responders. Rather than presenting them as the dedicated and skilled professionals, the author depicted them as incompetent fools, incapable of recognizing a panic attack and mocking the poor woman instead.
I have not managed to listen to more than an hour of the book, because it was written so horribly. Only two themes exists - the main character has PTSD aka "is afraid" of everything and her "hero" tries to cure her. That's just nonsense. Also they both are lusting about each other in the most absurd situations - f.e. she is having a panic attack and he is doing his job - saving her.
