Summary
Tracy Crosswhite returns in the second book in the page-turning series by New York Times bestselling author Robert Dugoni.
Homicide detective Tracy Crosswhite has returned to the police force after the sensational retrial of her sister’s killer. Still scarred from that ordeal, Tracy is pulled into an investigation that threatens to end her career, if not her life.
A serial killer known as the Cowboy is killing young women in cheap motels in North Seattle. Even after a stalker leaves a menacing message for Crosswhite, suggesting the killer or a copycat could be targeting her personally, she is charged with bringing the murderer to justice. With clues scarce and more victims dying, Tracy realizes the key to solving the murders may lie in a decade-old homicide investigation that others, including her captain, Johnny Nolasco, would prefer to keep buried. With the Cowboy on the hunt, can Tracy find the evidence to stop him, or will she become his next victim?

very much enjoyed this book.
I really enjoyed the story and finding out what happened to Tracy as I listened to the previous book called my sister's grave.
the only really annoying thing was it constantly said.......he said, she said, Tracy said! that I have to say drove me potty in places.
I was willing the said to be replaced with any other than and it did spoil it for me a little.
but overall good story, narration was spot on and great twist.

Not up the the standard of first book.
This was quite good, the story is tense and good. My main gripe is the unprofessional behaviour of the Police Captain who has a bee in his bonnet about our hero Tracy, and behaves in a way that I found to be totally unbelievable.
I don't think that anybody who rises to the position of Captain of the police would put aside all normal values just to cause his hated detective to fall flat on her face. This was just daft and spoiled an otherwise good story.

Talented Author
I never heard of this author before joining audible but bought the first book in this series in the daily deal and I've never look back. It's not overly descriptive, It's not gory and there is only the odd swear word. Just sit back and enjoy listening. It will have you griped from start to end.

Generally good
Good book however it felt like it dragged the story. The narrator although she has a pleasant voice there is no emotion, it felt monotonous, the change to other person sounded like they were all old people. Think this has put me off listening to the the rest of Tracy’s books series.

Gripping but a bit predictable
Well read and good character development. Predictable and slightly cliched plot but I will listen to the next Tracy Crosswhite story…

Couldn't stop listening
Just having discovered Dugoni , I was very keen to listen to the next book in the series.
I didn't enjoy it as much as the first, but a good storyline.
