Summary

Stephen Fry brings the richness of these magical stories to life in the original British recordings.

'Give me Harry Potter,' said Voldemort's voice, 'and none shall be harmed. Give me Harry Potter, and I shall leave the school untouched. Give me Harry Potter, and you will be rewarded.'

Treat your ears to a performance so rich and captivating you'll imagine yourself in the halls of Hogwarts. Wherever you listen, the unmistakable voice of Stephen Fry is guaranteed to guide you ever more deeply into this magical story and transport you to the heart of the adventure.

As he climbs into the sidecar of Hagrid's motorbike and takes to the skies, leaving Privet Drive for the last time, Harry Potter knows that Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters are not far behind. The protective charm that has kept Harry safe until now is broken, but he cannot keep hiding. The Dark Lord is breathing fear into everything Harry loves and to stop him Harry will have to find and destroy the remaining Horcruxes. The final battle must begin - Harry must stand and face his enemy...

Theme music composed by James Hannigan

Having become classics of our time, the Harry Potter stories never fail to bring comfort and escapism. With their message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new listeners.

Fantastic

Any additional comments?

I've listened to the entire series and this was a great conclusion.
I'd never read the books before, only seen the films.
Apart from the cop-out epilogue, I thought it was great definitely worth a listen.
Stephen Fry is fantastic.

Overrated as literature but clever imagination

Thanks goodness its over. There were so many really silly people and behaviours that spoiled the whole imaginative story. Of course it formed the basis for a truly outstanding series of movies...what amazing special effects and graphics! I don't believe that the books are particularly well written, but the intricacies of the stories are excellent. I found the inexplicably childish behaviours of various adults to be irritating, and the fluctuations of Harry from popular hero to unpopular chump in some places, was too contrived.
Having recently visited Oxford, I was amazed at the huge crowds of young people waiting to see Christ Church College's great hall, where the meal scenes were shot. I understand that they view this and parts of the Bodleian, visit Harry Potter tourist shops, and that is that...oh well, at least some of them are reading, which is a good thing.

superb ending

An excellent way to end the story of Harry Potter. Needs a decent follow up with the next generation that's not a theatre play.

Amazing!

Fantastic book, love story and mr.fry’s voice fits so well! Great book, very much recommend!! I listened to them all about 3000 times, loving it equally each.

Can I just say, JK Rowling is NOT HOMOPHOBIC!! Just because the bad guy in the new book is gay, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t agree with lgbtq+ people! Voldemort is bad too!! She is being inclusive by giving an lgbtq+ person a role in the book! I used to think she was Homophobic because my friends told me but I reasearched it!!

Awsome book!!!

This is a brilliant book, so good. Ron was a bit harsh sometimes about leaving Harry, that was rude, first saying he would say to be with Harry then left him. But that was a good book none the less.

I loved it...it made me laugh & cry. Unputdownable

Well, firstly, it's Harry Potter by JK Rowling - brilliantly written, exciting, sad, gripping and so very funny. Secondly, it's read by the amazing Stephen Fry.

These books are the reason I signed up for Audible in the first place.

Highly recommended.
