Insightful
Lots of healthy advice in here to get your gut in working order. I am toying with the idea of switching to more plant based foods so this audio book has given me a great insight into all the benefits. Lots of great takeaways from listening.

Has everything you need.
I am already on a plant-based diet and I am also vegan, so despite knowing quite a bit already, this audiobook was quite insightful and had me excited to try new recipes and foods that are delicious as well as good for my health.

Healthy living
Talking of healthy living can sometimes be classified as cliches and not paid attention to, but it forever remains important. The dangers of eating meat and unhealthily are known to include the risk of diabetes, cholesterol & certain cancer. And here's where plant-based diets give us a way out.
What I like about this book is that not only is the author an expert in nutrition and weight loss, but he also provides a way to transition from meat and unhealthy foods into plant-based diets. Transitioning and changing ways are always challenging, so the author provides practical ways to make the switch and supporting recipes to help take away any worries or anxieties that come with it. Very practical guide & recommended.

Amazing how important the gut is
I'm still amazed how important the gut is to overall health. But it makes sense. If the gut can't absorb the proper nutrients, it will wreak havoc on all the parts of the body that need nutrients...which is everything. With sticking to a plant based diet, I struggle with knowing what to eat. This diet cuts out a lot of the things I used to eat, so I didn't know what I could eat. It was helpful to have recipes for every meal!

Very Detailed And Valuable
Aging is never easy. As we change, so do our bodies. We always have to start watching not only how much we eat, but what. Such is what I am starting to do now that I am not getting any younger. While this book is aimed toward a particular audience, the information that is provided is very detailed and valuable to anyone. This is a book that should be recommended to everyone that might be struggling with the health issues that are addressed within.

Really interesting book
I never realized how important gut health is for the immune system, sleep and mood stability.I simply took it for granted that my gut will do its job regardless of what I put into my body.
I already eat a mostly plant-based diet instinctively because it just feels better but now after reading this book I understand the processes that are taking place and why gut health is important particularly if you are older like me. It has changed my outlook to really factor in gut health when assessing my food intake because it affects so many bodily functions including being able to shed weight.
A really interesting book that I will reread again and again.

Just what my gut needed!
I loved listening to this book! It is indeed true that you are what you eat. As a novice vegetarian, this book has given me more reasons to eat healthier and smarter!
The narration of the book also brings the book to life! The book also has a PDF included with yummy recipes! I would definitely recommend!

A perfect pathway to holistic health
I have recently been listening to many books specifically about gut health OR about plant-based diets, but this has been a pleasant surprise, offering a combination of all the knowledge related to these lifestyle habits. It discusses numerous benefits of switching to this type of nutrition, including mind + body health as well as offering an ethical take on not consuming animals. This listen is definitely a good place to begin if you're thinking of making the move but aren't sure where to begin or if you're making the right choices nutrition-wise, and it also offers recipes to facilitate the transition to plant-based eating.
