Summary
If you want to discover the captivating history of Geronimo, then pay attention.
His name was Geronimo. And any mention of that name immediately conjures up images of the last gasp of Native American control of the Western Frontier. Geronimo, to be sure, was one of the most effective leaders in the resistance against America’s westward advance, but he was much more than just a good field commander for the Apaches.
For even after the West was supposedly won, Geronimo proved more than ready to adapt. And when the Apache Wars came to a close, he was able to rebrand himself as an icon of western Americana. In many instances, he actually got paid by the very ones who thought they had vanquished him, as Geronimo became a kind of celebrity, participating in Wild West shows in which he basically acted out what was his life - or at least what was perceived to be his life. But in reality, the real Geronimo was much more than an accomplished horseman riding the range. He was more than a marauder raiding hapless settlers. And he was more than a skilled marksman, medicine man, and shaman.

Native American History
Geronimo in his own words, the only thing I found bad about the work was it was too short, but being as the reporter had to get President Teddy Roosevelt to intervene with the Reservation commander to even be able to sit, and talk with Geronimo it is a good listen.

Accurate biography.
This audiobook expresses the realities as well as the author can determine through all of his research and compiles them into an accurate biography with no frills and flowery decorations.

The best Geronimo bio I've seen
I'm a student of Apache history and I enjoy visiting the Apache historical sites. This audio-book is well written, with a unique style in some ways.
There is little new information here that I didn't already know. The author does explore the possibility that Geronimo was an interpreter for Cochise at an important meeting with the whites-that I had never heard.
He also leaves out some important details of Geronimo's "Handiwork" during his raids, which I found disappointing.

A very good work from his viewpoint.
The audiobook indicates that a figure does not have to be sensationalized to be fascinating. Geronimo was one of the USA's most interesting personalities.

A fine little biography of Geronimo
A little biography of Geronimo. It's told by him though, so it seems there may be a little embellishment. interesting reflection of the native American culture and their interactions with Mexico and the US government.
