Summary
Learn from the successes, the fights, and the failures of businessman and former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci.
Have you just been fired? Did that job you were hoping to get not pan out? Did you recently end up embarrassing yourself in a major way in front of people you really wanted to impress?
Not to worry. There’s a way out of whatever you’re going through, and Anthony Scaramucci—or “The Mooch,” as he’s known to his friends—is the perfect person to point you in the right direction. Whatever you’re going through, he’s been through it already. Probably twice.
And he’s learned a whole lot of lessons along the way.
In From Wall Street to the White House and Back, the Mooch sets down twenty-six of these lessons. Along the way, he tells wild tales from his time working in finance, politics, and a few strange places in between.
Listeners will spend time in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump, visit the Bahamas with the disgraced crypto king Sam Bankman-Fried, and encounter pearls of wisdom from a few other unlikely sources in the world of business, national politics, and publishing.
If you’re interested in Eminem, Leo Tolstoy, Sigmund Freud, or Tony Robbins—all of whom are mentioned at least once in this book—and you want to learn from the mistakes of one of the all-time great mistake-makers of our age, jump in.

Life Changing
Wow. I wish I had read this book on my first day at university. This is an outstanding piece of work. I connected with this book and the author in a way that I did not expect. The messages and ideas in this book have already made me reassess my life and the course it has taken; good and bad. I know that it will also affect my future. Sometimes you have a connection with a book and just ‘get it’. I love reading, I really do, but rarely does a book have such a profound impact on me.
I bought this book because ‘The Mooch’ does a new podcast in the UK and I thought he was witty, informative and funny. I had no idea he was who he is. Anthony Scaramucci is a great man.
I don’t want to go overboard, other than to say, that everyone should read this book. Definitely one of the best books I have ever read. Thank you, Mooch, thank you.

More vulnerability would have helped
Overall a good book but a lot the examples he gave of his own failings and mistakes were the same. Largely just focused on his 11 days with trump. It would have been better if he had of shown a bit more vulnerability and spoken about personal events that made it more relatable. Some of the lessons are a little simplistic without the depth of a personal experience.
