Summary

Do you believe in psychics? What if there really was someone who could see into the future, read people's thoughts, and move things with their mind? What kind of person would they be, and how would they reveal themselves to the world? Psimon is just such a man, a real and genuine psychic. But Psimon has a problem. In five days' time he is going to die at the hands of a serial killer known only as Lucifer. His only hope is to enlist the services of former SAS soldier Steve Brennus, a man whose family life and business have just collapsed in ruins. Psimon knows he is going to die. He has seen it. But could a former SAS soldier have the strength to overcome the visions of the world's first psychic?

From the intensity of the first scene to the dramatic climax, First and Only pauses just enough for listeners to catch their breath. Do not take this book to bed if you fancy an early night. You have been warned.

Original and Outstanding.

I read the print version not long after it's release, and was left with an overwhelming sense that other mediums would breathe even more life into this intriguing, thrilling, (somewhat horrific at times), yet remarkably human story. The audio version did just that. I would recommend this to all who loved the book, to those eagerly awaiting the film release and of course to those who have stumbled across this recording for the first time. You won't be disappointed. Prepare to meet the world's "First &Only". Well worthy of each 5* rating. If i was pushed for constructive critique, my preferred choice of narrator would have been younger and more authentic to the dynamic between Psimon and Steve.
(But this by no means detracted from the experience, ...It's mere preference. I'm also wary of reviews that aren't constructive- and it's the only negative I can muster!!) BRAVO!!!!!

Fantastic.

Totally different to Battlemage but just as good a story. Overcoming your fears. Friendship and courage. Familiar themes but executed brilliantly here into a well plotted story. Only just discovered this author and wish he had written more books.
Narration very good as well. Really helps to picture the characters with distinctive voices.

Hooked!

I love thrillers and this was quite different. Tension, intrigue and suspense; totally gripping! Really enjoyed it... Left me wondering: "What if?" A definite MUST to listen to.

Not my usual type of read but....

Not something i would normally read but having enjoyed some other books from the author thought i would give it a try. The story is not complex only a couple of plot lines but the characters are very engaging. The end is a little cliche but as a change i enjoyed this book.

Not for the faint hearted but brilliant

I rarely write reviews but this book is another masterpiece by this author. Believable characters in all their gorey detail. This book takes on subject matter that not everyone is comfortable with, and hooks you in. I couldn’t put it down and I hope for a sequel.

The authors other books are more fantasy genre and equally as good. This author never disappoints and dare I say, begs for a film or tv series.

Look out for Battlemage and Decimus Fate. You will not be disappointed if you like the Fantasy genre.
