Summary

Micah is a small-town mechanic with a big-time dream. He’s found his soul mate in high school social studies teacher Coleman Pierce, but while Micah’s out and proud of it, Coleman’s closet door is closed, locked, and welded shut. Stolen nights are all they’ll ever have, unless Micah can find some way to convince Cole that coming out won’t be the end of his dreams.

Cole moved to Blueridge Junction to escape his past. He planned to make himself a new life, far from home and the betrayal he’d suffered there. He wasn’t going to make the same mistakes again, but he didn’t count on meeting Micah, or the intensity of the feelings the man arouses in him.

But Micah is out and Cole...isn’t. And while Micah definitely revs his engines, Cole isn’t going to risk his job or his newly minted future on a relationship that might not work out. When outside forces bear upon the couple, Cole is faced with a decision. Will he keep his secret and risk losing everything, including the man he loves? Or will he stand with Micah and fight for their future?

Fight for It is a male/male romance meant for ages 18+ due to language, themes, and adult scenes.

Small town, big hearts.

How had I not read this book before? I loved everything about this book, from the small-town boys, the love and support for Cole and the fight against bigotry.

Such a well-written book that kept me focused all the way through. I would recommend this to anyone who wants/needs a comfort read.

The narration by Christopher Solon was very good, and I didn't need to speed him up like most other narrators.

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Loved the story!

Loved the story, the characters, the romance!
Micah is part of the BJ boys, a sexy very capable mechanic who has an amazing lover... only no names are provided. The Cole comes to town as a teacher. He is closeted and it takes lots of love and patience to be with him. I just enjoy J so much, he is the heart of this group of gay friends. Micah and Cole are so good together and their bound strong. The story comes to life with the narrator. Good work!!

I’m in love with the BJ boys!

What amazing adorable characters. Not just the MCs but the whole gang. Micah the mechanic and Cole the teacher are perfect for each other despite Cole being deep in the closet. But the introduction to Levy, Jay, Cody and Kennedy was intriguing and I’ll definitely be getting their books. The narration was great bringing both plot and characters to life. Well worth listening!

Small town drama, danger and romance

Cole, the new social studies teacher in Blueridge Junction, has mechanic Micah's attention. Although he is not out, he's been targeted by the homophobes in town and his job at the high school is already in jeopardy, which precludes any type of normal relationship with Micah, who has his own drama with his homophobe father. The temperature ramps up when the homophobes get violent... this story offers up forbidden love with a side of danger, and the ugly side of small time conservative mores has its moment. I enjoyed the romance here, however, and the challenge presented to Cole to re-claim his life. Ultimately it's a satisfying read, and the narration by Christopher Solon is top notch.

Good MM story

I really enjoyed listening this and the narrator was good. I got upset knowing there are people out there like Micah’s dad ,I just can’t understand why people can’t just live their own lives .
