Summary

Acesta e mesajul meu catre voi, tovarasi: REVOLUTIE!"

Well-deserved status of classic

This edition is in Romanian and it was bought as part of a self-directed program to learn this language. I read the book in its original English when I was at school (many years ago). I listened to it at half speed to assist my attempt to improve comprehension. The performance was clear and well suited to this purpose. The prose provides an excellent variety of vocabulary and gramatical constructs, ranging from simple list-like content to complex syntax with subtle semantics. And, of course, this is a great work of literature and political comment. This makes it eminently suitable for listening to it many times, unfolding greater understanding with each iteration. I am sure it will be enjoyed by those fluent in Romanian for its own sake.

Excelent

The novella is well known and justly praised. But the narrator, Mr. Rebenciuc, is amazing indeed.
