Unlock Your Potential With Executive Functioning
What a fantastic book for young adults, and even all adults, to learn the secrets of Executive Functioning and use them to make positive changes in their lives. I had never heard of Executive Function before I came across this audiobook. I am super glad I did. This book came into my life right at the right time as I have been feeling overwhelmed with my job and my business I am trying to build. This book has taught me new time management skills and how to better balance priorities just a bit better than I had been. I found chapter 5 to be the most interesting to me as I learned about cognitive flexibility and adaptability. Love this book!

Neuroscience meets insight. Full of great tips
This is a great listen, partly because it is well structured but also because it is well narrated. The book is full of tips on time management, emotional intelligence, and overcoming procrastination, which I guess we can all benefit from a reminder on! What makes this more compelling is the fact that it is based on neuroscience, and this weaves its way throughout the book making it an easy but compelling listen

Great advice and strategies
I feel that a lot of kids and young adults these days struggle with executive functioning. They are very distracted with devices, social media and expect everything to just happen for them. I know I struggle with my kids to make appropriate plans to meet the deadlines that they have. Great example. My daughter was turning 18. We had a conversation about her party a month before and laid out the plans together of what needed to happen and by when. I checked back in each week and things were not being marked off the list. Then the week before the party, she still had not even invited anyone, which backfired because fewer people were available. She has ADHD so she has always found it difficult to make plans. So after her party, she let me know that she was tired of struggling so we found the book and have been working through it together. She will be graduating high school this year and so leaving the comfort of high school is also stressing her out because there is structure.
She has been working through each chapter and slowly starting to apply her knowledge and skills. She has said that she understands the skill but sometimes making sure she applies the skills is difficult but she is working through it. Overall, we both really enjoyed the book and I am looking forward to seeing her skills continue to strengthen.
