About this listen
Mystery author Rachel Goldman is getting used to the idea that her fictional creation, Duffy Madison, has somehow taken flesh-and-blood form and is investigating missing person cases not far from where Rachel lives. Wait. No. She's not getting used to it at all, and the presence of this real-life Duffy is making her current manuscript - what's the word? - lousy.
So she doesn't want to see Duffy - the living one - at all. To make matters worse, when he shows up at her door and insists on talking to her, it's about the one thing she doesn't want to do: find a missing person. But the man Duffy seeks this time around might be able to solve Rachel's problem. He might just be the man Duffy was before he became Duffy five years ago. The only problem is she could be letting Duffy lead her into danger yet again....
Entertaining and witty, the second in E. J. Copperman's Mysterious Detective Mystery series, Edited Out, will delight his fans, both new and old.

Great fun
A great story - so amusing - narration reasonable but not brilliant. I hope there is a third.

It was good but kinda annoying lol
I still don't know where Duffy came from, who he is or was. I did enjoy it and at some points laughted out loud and at some point got annoyed with the "writer" character for whining a bit. Always tired and hungry, strange. A few wholes here and there but enjoyable enough, it's the 2nd book in the series.

Edited Out!
This was a fun caper, but not as good as the previous book in the series. It all feels a bit forced.

An authors dream of nightmare
I enjoyed this book but did prefer book one, which you definitely need to have read or listened to before starting this book. This is mainly because the author doesn't go into a lot of detail about what happened previously and you need to have an understanding of the characters and the very unusual background or it might be very confusing. I liked the characters but did find Duffy a bit annoying a few times, I thought he was to confident for a guy with no memory or past but then again if he really did come from the pages of a book, we still don't know. I hope we don't have to wait long for the next book to find out. The mystery was good and with so much speculation going on I never did guess the killer.
Rachel Goldman is struggling to write her next book because last time she did the character came to life, maybe? So if she writes something horrible happening to the character, will it happen to the flesh and blood Duffy? She can't keep the two separate and the only way is to cut ties with Duffy, I mean the real one. Duffy has other ideas and wants her to help him investigate a missing person case from his old school, that he can't remember. Is the missing man Duffy before he became Duffy? Confused? Rachel is and the only way to get back to writing her book is to join him on this mad adventure and see if Duffy had a life that goes back longer than five years, the same amount of time the man has been missing. But that's before a body is discovered and Duffy gets arrested. Can Rachel work out what is going on? And catch a killer?
I liked the narrator who was pleasant to listen too.
