Summary
Sometimes, the deepest scars are the ones that can't be seen.
Single mom Peyton Ward works three jobs to make ends meet. At Linear Tactical, she’s surrounded by heroes on a regular basis, but none of them are hers. She thought she'd found one in Linear’s silent partner and country music superstar Cade Conner.
She was wrong.
Unintended wounds still cut as deep.
Cade may not work day-to-day operations at Linear, but he takes the mission of the company he helped create - teaching survival intelligence and self-defense skills to the people who need them most - seriously. And finding out he’s wounded Peyton in the worst way possible weighs on him.
So, when danger on two separate fronts closes in on her, he will damn well be by her side, making sure that they survive, so he can right his personal wrongs.
He might not have been a Special Forces soldier, but Cade Conner knows how to fight. And Peyton is a woman worth fighting for.

Sweet, sexy and action-packed!
Another fabulous book from the Linear Tactical series. Readers would be familiar with Peyton and her daughter. This is their story. Cade Connor is a silent partner in Linear Tactical though he has not spent much time in his hometown in about 5 years. He and Peyton have history, an attraction that neither acted upon until they found themselves presented with an unusual situation. One night before they pursue their professional dreams. One night that changes everything for Peyton though Cade remained entirely oblivious.
5 years on, Peyton is a single mother to a spectacular girl and doing what she has to to ensure her daughter has everything her brilliant young mind needs. Cade returns home with a stalker (not unusual for famous singers) and a desire to reconnect with her. They are older but life hasn't necessarily taken them where it should have. There are wrongs to right and enemies to fight . Luckily the Linear Tactical team take care of their own.
I enjoyed this story. It teetered between sweet, sensitive romance and fast-paced action, almost from the beginning to the very end. Another audiobook by Janie Crouch that I had trouble pausing!

What makes a Hero?
Peyton Ward needs a Hero in her life and thought she had found it in Linear's Silent Partner Cade. She was wrong, or was she.
Country Music Superstar Cade Conner might not be a Special Forces Soldier but he knows how to protect and when to fight.
He will need all his skills to keep the woman he unintentionally wronged safe and to convince her that he can be her 'Hero'.
I loved that Cade was a 'normal' man and not some super soldier. A man with a very different lifestyle than the other Linear Guys but at the core a 'good man' a protector.
I thoroughly enjoyed my Linear Tactical Friday night book blitz, even if I ended up with a lot of dark shadows and desperately needing a pee .
This series is rapidly becoming one of my favourite romantic suspense series. I'm looking forward to listening to many more books by Janie .

Loved it!
Echo is another fabulous addition to the Linear Tactical Series. As the series progresses, it gets better with each instalment. The storyline is engaging and entertaining with drama, humour, suspense, action, and steam. Cade and Payton's relationship goes from smooth to complicated, and their love and trust for each other are tested. I found myself enjoying their journey quite a bit, and I looked forward to the next book in the series.
I can't imagine anyone else but Tom Campbell narrating the series. He captures the nuances of the characters, emotions, and intensity of the scenes, breathing life into the stories. This was a highly enjoyable audiobook, one I strongly recommend. I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook, and my unbiased review is voluntarily given.

Awesome Listen!
Echo by Janie Crouch is fantastic! Once again I am impressed by the author. She wrote an original storyline with compelling characters. Peyton and Cade have great chemistry. The book is full of suspense and unexpected twists. I love it when an author can create a series with characters that are compelling, and stand on their own two feet. Tom Campbell was wonderful bringing the characters to life. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author.

Moving and exciting
Peyton Ward tried to keep a low profile at school, she was blurring the county lines to attend a specialist arts school to follow her film making passion. That’s when she came across Cade O’Conner whose musical talent blew her away. They were both going to follow their dreams but somewhere along the way Peyton lost her way while Cade reached the stars and was too good for the likes of her. Janie Crouch explores a different angle to the Linear Tactical series but it so works. I couldn’t put it down and unfortunately finished it too soon. Moving and exciting, highly recommended. I voluntarily listened and reviewed an advanced copy of this audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
