Great Resource
Just listened to this audiobook and really enjoyed it. It simplifies the whole gardening process, making it accessible for beginners, like me, and those with busy schedules. You'll learn about innovative gardening ideas that can be seamlessly integrated into your life, regardless of your experience level. The narrator’s voice is easy on the ears and keeps you engaged throughout, which was nice. One thing I found particularly valuable was the focus on personalized garden design. It helps you tailor your garden to your unique space, maximizing productivity and sustainability. I have a smaller space, so it was nice to get some advice on that. It also talks about into resource maximization, showing you how to make the most of rainwater, repurpose materials, and even turn pesky weeds into assets. I loved the tips on extending the growing season, ensuring a year-round supply of fresh produce. Overall, I found this book very helpful and would definitely recommend!

Comprehensive Guide to Sustainability
I am glad to have found this educational and practical guide to permaculture. I have long been interested in gardening, but I only recently learned about permaculture–a mindset that focuses not only on environmental sustainability but also on social and economic matters. As author Benz Joe helpfully explains, contrary to what you might think, permaculture gardening does not take too much time or cost too much money. On the contrary, it can be far more efficient than other gardening. My concern before reading this book, however, is that as a city dweller, there is not much I can do. But that myth is debunked too: even gardeners with limited space can engage with permaculture.
One of the things I appreciate about the book is the author’s repeated emphasis on connecting with nature and the environment. As anyone who has spent time in nature knows, all of our senses are engaged. Permaculture asks us to engage in this mindful way fully. This is not to suggest that the book lacks practicality. It speaks to all aspects of permaculture, from understanding your soil and plant partnerships to water conservation, harmonious and natural pest management, implementing 12 design principles, and creating a balanced food forrest (or harmonious ecosystem). All of the chapters are interesting, but I particularly enjoyed the discussion of so-called pests. It changed my perspective.

Ethical and efficient
This was a very interesting and engaging listen. "Easy Permaculture Gardening" is a great introduction to this method. It covers all the foundational principles and background info to fully understand how to go about this and be successful. I love that this is a different approach to traditional gardening and produce harvesting. I am ready to jump in and give it a try, and I will return to various sections as needed. Great tool!

Started straightaway after listening
Great audible for those who want very easy ideas and strategies to start building their own edible ecosystem - and the beauty with these strategies, is that they are actually quick and easy to do! The audio is well narrated and easy to follow and it goes in a logical sequence so you always have knowledge building on top of taking action which flows really well into the practice of your home gardening. Our favourite chapter was chapter 9 - bringing it inside as well as outside, so now our home is very green, with lots of edible foods and we feel more alive with how green everything is now (especially as we live in the city). Highly recommended.
