Summary
John Godwin, former EMT and current private investigator, continues to make waves as his cooperation with the Miami PD brings him more high-profile cases. Pleased with John’s closure rate, his contact in the Vice department asks him to look into a string of attacks on women using hallucinogenic drugs; he figures his medical training will come in handy in cracking the case.
As Godwin tracks the killer through a string of victims, he uncovers the grim details of how the crimes unfold: an innocent interaction with a stranger, memory loss, madness, violence, and then death.
