Excellent performance and superb storyline.
I love Dan Starkey as an audiobook performer. I also love that I can slow the speed of the book down to 0.7 speed and make it last much longer and without it impairing the listening experience in any way.
The story is in three arcs that eventually weave together to a satisfying conclusion. Each arc is engrossing and would be a great audiobook alone but to get three and the final unifying thread makes this a real treat.

Just Brilliant
An excellent reading by Dan Starkey, (his Sylvester McCoy is very good) of one of the New Adventure books from the 90's when the show was off air , written around the "Shakedown" video that had been made.
Thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish

Cracking good 7th Doctor yarn
Where does Doctor Who: Shakedown rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Plot wise it's a good read. But ... Either my copy missed an entire section, or half of bernies adventure on sectarian was cut in the edit. The entire plot twist of the murdered academic was missing, i only clocked it via references later on... Odd to say the least.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Pace seemed a little fast.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Made me smile a lot. I can see and hear sylvester McCoy in virtually every Doctor scene.

Sontaran Showdown
I really enjoyed this audio version of Shakedown, a New Adventure from the days when Dr Who was off screen. Dan Starkey does a fantastic job with accents and portraying all the cast. The narrative cracks along at a good pace and is full of incident and fun while also adding to the 'Who' mythos. Definitely recommended.
