About this listen
Keep your friends close....
Construction work isn't any sort of calling for Ethan Loeb. He gets the job done, cashes his check, and spends his free time volunteering at the retirement home his elderly mother lives in. He knows he comes across as big, gruff, and grumpy, but right now, he doesn't much care.
Until him.
...but keep your enemies in your bedroom.
Mark Weaver knows that the construction crew in charge of building a new set of luxury townhouses is more than a bit ticked off that a potential dinosaur find has derailed their tight schedule. They make it very clear that the scientists excavating the site aren't welcome. It doesn't much matter to Mark. Preserving the past trumps new construction any day.
But when Mark's car dies too far away from the work site for him to walk with his polio-damaged legs, can he accept help from a big, burly construction worker with a secret heart of gold?

An interesting series
I found this series to be fairly interesting. The story lines are enjoyable and the characters are different. The narration was a bit underwhelming, but still easy to listen to.

Hours of Entertainment
Enemies to lovers is my absolutely favorite trope, and each book in this bundle has a mix of tropes that include it. I couldn’t be any happier about that. 🦖 🦺 👷🏼
While they all shared the ETL trope, each book had a different couple. The stories were different, but it was ‘us vs them’ on the construction site....well, what was a construction site. Now there are tons of scientists taking up the space to preserve fossils that were discovered when they broke ground. Construction workers had to stop working for full pay, and instead working for next to nothing. Emotions are high, as are tempers. 🦖 🦺 👷🏼
These stories were well written, with great characters. It was easy to get lost in them. I enjoyed listening to each love story, and found even the grumpiest characters, likable. 🦖 🦺 👷🏼
This is the second time I’ve heard anything narrated by Austin Jay. I liked the overall sound of his voice, and the different voices he has gor the characters. It was easy to tell who was talking when, and he did a great job at keeping in correct character. He did a great job, and I’m looking forward to hearing more from him. 🎙👷🏼🦖🦺

So good!!
This bundle is simply amazing... each book is a love story, each one with an lightly “enemies” to lovers trope. In each book a couple found their forever overcoming some obstacles, personal situations, and a little angst, while accepting their quirks and traits, in the way to happiness. Very enjoyable! After reading the ebooks, I was waiting for the audiobook to reread them again, especially all together. Mr Jay’s narration is so nice, with a very charismatic and smooth voice, applying his acting skills to create so many wonderful characters. A treat!

Digging for love.
This bundle comprises of 5 books which take part near and on a paleontology dig site aka 'the Mudhole'. Each book features a couple which comprises of one man who belongs to the builders and one of the museum crew. All the dynamics are different, but the characters appear in each book. With some of the characters you just want to bang their heads together to come to their senses. There is an overarching story throughout all the books concerning the dig.
The narration was well, this was a new to me narrator which I found very pleasant.

Interesting overarching premise
I really enjoyed the overarching storyline of the construction site disrupted by the find of dinosaur bones and the influx of the scientific team. This provides a perfect set up for the enemies to lovers stories in the bundle. My favorite was the first story, probably because it introduced the plot line, but all of them were enjoyable. There was plenty of heat between each couple but also good character development and story. Austin Jay did a fantastic job with his performance. It takes a real gift to hold the listeners interest and keep all the characters clearly delineated for over 36 hours. I will listed to this again.

Worth A Credit
Dig Deep: A Contemporary Romance Bundle is 5 stories with 5 different couples, all working to uncover some fossils discovered on a construction sit. This creates some tension between the construction workers and the arriving palaeontologists, but it creates some interesting situations, drama and relationships between the two groups.
Storylines were enjoyable and the characters creative.
The narration was okay but was not my cup of tea. 3.5 stars having to round up to 4

Fantastic
To start with this is a fantastic value set. There are different stories that are both engaging and all unique. I loved the characters and would have happily bought all these books separately I enjoyed them that much. This is an author that I haven’t listened to a lot but I certainly will now
I was a little nervous that there would be a lot of technical speak with both the palaeontologists and building work but it was really nicely balanced so that it worked really well. The narrator had a voice that I really enjoyed and will certainly be listening to again.
