Interesting but frustrating
I've read both books and as a Don, Illarian had amazing morals and character. The sisters, though is another story, I think Taylor's martyrdom went too far and went on for too long, it became very frustrating. I can't believe it was her sister's wedding that was featured towards the end of book 2, and not Tay and Illarian!

Great sequel
The story is filled with emotional turmoil, suspense, and romance as Taylor and Ilarion navigate their complicated relationship. Engaging dual narration and the well-paced story.

Excellent
Nothing to dislike about these two books .. even when I wake through the night kept putting me earphones in to see what happened next .. you won’t be disappointed spending your credits on this

Loved the story
I went straight into reading this as soon as finished the diamond devil (book 1) as had to know what happened next . There was a good mixture of mafia business with a love triangle story with a sprinkle of spice.

the twist and suspense was intriguing. I think it was one of my best reads on recent time. I recommend both book one and two

pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this!
At last a Mafia story with decent characters and plot.....rather than just spice for the sake of it. I've listened to an eclectic mix of books since Dec.2019, nearly 780 of them...YA, high fantasy, sci fi, thrillers....and alot of contemporary romance with decent helpings of smut 😉😘....however I've often failed to finish Mafiosi based romance thrillers because I thought the plots were thin, I wasn't drawn to the characters at all. I almost wasn't going to buy this 2 part series. BUT, I'm glad I did, a refreshing change to actually want to find out what happens. So much so, I bought the 2nd book immediately.
Also, the narration was PERFECTION! Even though it isn't performed in duet the
