Summary
It's been seven years since the Upheaval. Seven years of fighting the hordes of the undead. John Talon and his family are hoping to finally settle down and start their lives over again. But in the grasslands of Iowa, a new danger has emerged. A new form of the Enillo Virus, unlike any seen before, threatens to unravel the fragile new country. John, Charlie, Duncan, and Tommy will find their skills put to the test as they face off against the worst of the virus.

Amazing as always.
I've always loved these books. They hold a special place in my heart the world building the characters, their camaraderie and situations they end up in. There's a more realistic take on the stories in these books than other zombie apocalypse based books/comics/shows and movies have. From how people end up infected to what clothing should be worn when battling undead creatures. The authors skill for bringing to life a long dead world is impeccable. The only thing I mark down stars for on this review is performance but only because how I read these books in my head years ago and the way characters speak is quite different to how it's interpreted through the reader and just made the delivery of some lines and conversations sound and feel very different from my initial reading.
