About this listen
Susan Sterling wanted nothing more than to escape her life...and her marriage. The family's secluded cabin in Kings Canyon National Park seemed the only place for her to find peace. But it took Shawn Weber coming into her life for her to find the courage to make changes. The budding friendship between the two women strengthens into an intense emotional bond, a bond that soon eclipses friendship.
Despite pressure from her family to reconcile with her husband, Susan can't deny the feelings that Shawn stirs in her. Susan finds she's willing to forsake her entire family for a chance at love with Shawn.

Nice brooding story, full of reality!
The story simmered and built up nicely. You could imagine the situation through the involving narrative and narration. Nice seductive and descriptive intimate scenes. sexy and romantic!

Great listen
I have read /listened to a few of the author's books. Formula is the same, however I enjoy the story which develops the characters and good scene description makes you present with the characters.
Definitely a plausible situation which will be relatable for many. A late coming out story for an older woman who had known only a husband and had a child and was surprised by her new found feelings for a woman.
Good all round read/listen.

Great story with a perfect ending
Great narrator and lovely story that explores the love between two
women and the prejudice they face as they come to terms with their feelings

Dawn of Change
However it was a really fine story and went as I expected, I missed a bit of spice for the 5 stars. But I make rewievs to remember the books I've read so its 4,5
Really good, right amount of angst and longig but in a nice way i think.
I read a similar story before, but still was satisfying, I giggled and had a lot of fun during it.

Enjoyable sensitive romance
Gerri Hill manages to hit the target again. This is a nicely written romance with plenty of twists and turns. The main characters are people I cared about. The book is not padded out with repetitive or unnecessary sex; the sex here is an expression of love which makes a nice change. Even Abby Craden calms her often OTT style of narration down and does a good job.
