Summary
Once upon a time, I was your average spunky redhead with the lamest employment history ever, a shaky relationship with my only family member, and no idea what I was doing with my life.
Now, I'm a pseudo mythic with the best bartending job in the world, the most amazing (and hot) best friends I never knew I needed, and a guild of misfit magic users who've become my extended family.
And I'm about to lose it all.
In my desperation to save Ezra, I stumbled into a web of ruthless deception - and seriously pissed off a sleeping hydra. Now its every murderous head is turned toward me and my guild, and I don't know how to stop it. I'm not sure I can.
I'm not sure anyone can.
But if we don't, we're all doomed - Ezra, Aaron, Kai, and my beloved guild.

Absolutely AMAZING series!!🤩🤩
This series is absolutely amazing and an absolute joy to listen to. Annette’s writing is of the chart. Flowing language, great character build ups and developments and action packed, funny and unpredictable storylines and plot twists. I listened to the whole series in one go, jumping on one book after the other over the course of a week and a half. Could NOT put them down.
The character of a Tori is amazing. Being totally kick ass without one ounce of magic in an all magic guild she kicks ass and takes names at the same time being both relatable and funny and working out her issues. The way she grows throughout the series and the continuing thread of her short comings being a part of her strength and weaknesses is so well written it’s a bit mind blowing,
Ezra is a wonderful character too and his character development is on par with Tori’s, a truly great match. They balance each other beautifully.
Aron and Kai are also amazing characters and it felt like the whole series were honoring their journeys as well when they could have been easily forgotten.
Last but not least… amazing narration by Cris! AND loved the plot twist in narration and storytelling in book 7 bringing in Teddy for a different point of view, also doing great narration work. I’ve looked for writers in league with Helen Harper who’s a big time favorite and this Annette Marie truly is.
Now to this book in particular. A great end to the series, wrapping up all the different threads but not doing it in a way where the integrity of the well written build up is compromised. It stayed true to the series as well as not leaving everything too neatly tied up. There are still questions that I look forward to getting answered in the accompanying series like the guild codex: demonized etc. thinking I’m jumping into them next. 😁 This book is truly action packed and just like the rest of the series SO well written and narrated. Went through all the emotions: happy, sad, angry, anxious you name it, I felt it, can really recommend this read to anyone who wants to be engrossed in a world were magic is real and strength isn’t just about how much magic you have,

a set up, a ritual and a party. it's all or nothing.
Well that was unexpected, everything blew up in this book. The heat picked up on a whole new level, and my favourite character returned. Actually two of my favourite characters, Zylas showing up really was the icing on the cake for me. I won't say more about that, there are so many great characters in this world. Everyone unique, the storyline is better than any rollercoaster ride. The plot leaves you in a spin, there was one part in particular that left me close to tears. The heartbreaking moments in this book are extremely well written, characters you will love and the struggles they go through is enough to make your heart stop. This is truly an amazing series, one that you won't soon forget.

What a Series!!!!
This series of books is by far in my whole time favourites list!!! I absolutely loved this series and Book 8 the final one, certainly didn't disappoint. When I got this, I was in 2 minds to listen to it. I just didn't want the series to finish, so I kept myself back from listening! The finale was brilliant. It propelled you straight into their world and spat you out at the end. Annette Marie is a formidable writer. The plot and characters are written in such a intricate way, that you really feel part of it. This book tied everything up and was just such a pleasure to listen to. Do not hesitate in purchasing these books!!

Absolutely phenomenal.
When I first started the series I (like Tori) didn't realise what I was getting into. But again, like her, I'm so glad I did. This book was amazing. While Two Witches and a Whiskey will always be my favourite of the series, this pulls in at a close second. I loved it, start to finish. If you're a fan of the series it's a must-read.

Excellent
Well Tori’s Journey is over and it was amazing from start to finish. Damned souls and a sangria had everything I wanted it to, it was funny, Jam packed with action, it had smoking romance, all my favourite characters where front and centre and they all share the glory that is this final book. Even though Toris story had ended we still have so much to come form the GC and will hopefully still see and fiery redhead and her gorgeous mage’s in the future.
