Summary

The ultimate laugh-out-loud, good life, meet the eccentric locals, house-hunting, foodie, travel-tour, fun memoir. There were highs, heartbreaks and cliff-hangers as British-born author Diz White scrambled between the Cotswolds, looking for a bargain cottage, and Hollywood taking every hilariously wacky acting job to earn the down payment. Her search doubles as a travel-tour and on her journey she was charged by Chasin' Mason, the bull, auditioned for a horse’s hind end and trampled by 30 children while wearing a bear suit. But her fondness for this region gave her a sense of community missing from her busy urban life. Will her dream become reality? Find out in this witty love note to the Cotswolds. 'It's enchanting...very funny. Diz paints an affectionate canvas' Steven Leigh Morris, L.A. Weekly 'Diz White writes about the Cotswolds with such passion.' Nicely narrated tale

I enjoyed the humour and the tale was well narrated (unsuprising as the writer/narrator is an actor). It painted a gentle picture of Cotswold life and their struggle to obtain the dream cottage however I didn't realise it would have such a heavy and constant narration on their food fascination. After a while I found it a bit off putting and distracting however if you are an avid foodie yourself you may live it!
