About this listen

In Contract Law, we examine the black letter rules of contract law most commonly tested on the MBE and in law school. By combining a simple approach to legal learning with the innovative appeal of an audio study aid, Contract Law provides you with a concise overview of the subject matter in a way that makes it easy to learn, understand, and memorize. Contract Law also includes numerous hypothetical examples and analyses to help you apply the rules of law to any given fact patterns.

Key topics include:

  • Applicable law (common law versus UCC)
  • Contract formation (offer and acceptance, consideration, modification)
  • Offers (advertisements, termination of offers, irrevocable offers)
  • The mailbox rule
  • Statute of frauds
  • Defenses to contract formation (illegality, lack of capacity, duress, unconscionability, misrepresentation, mistake)
  • Parol evidence rule
  • Warranties
  • Material breach rule under the common law
  • Perfect tender rule under the UCC
  • Anticipatory repudiation
  • Discharge of duties (rescission, release, accord and satisfaction)
  • Third party involvement (third party beneficiaries, assignments, delegation, novation)
  • Breach of contract remedies (damages, specific performance)
  • Bonus examples

AudioOutlines creates innovative legal study aids, customized for audio. They are designed to simplify the learning process and help you gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Listen and learn, anytime, anywhere, with AudioOutlines.

Excellent but not UK

Much, if not all of the content demonstrated in this book mirrors UK. I found it most useful as a law student in the UK 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Very basic and Shallow

Quite a basic and shallow look at contract principles and solely for a USA Market.
