About this listen
An unidentified woman is found murdered on the North Norfolk Coastal Path and newly promoted Detective Sergeant Kate Brannon and Kings Lynn's CID have the task of figuring out whom, how, and why. A job that's made more difficult when every one of the 40 residents in the village has something to hide and answers her questions with a string of lies.
Georgina Temple has her own secrets to keep, and her own reasons to keep them. But her growing attraction to Kate makes it increasingly difficult to keep them. Kate's investigation into the woman's death delves into the heart of the tiny fishing village where nothing and no one is quite what they seem.
Contains mature themes.

Sea and salt marsh tidal pull you into a great li
Andrea Bramhall uses her descriptive powers to bring the East Coast to life in a finely paced tale of murder with relatable characters. The different threads are woven subtly with well formed personalities. The narration is excellent for a compelling and driven story.

Distracted by Narrator
I found the story line interesting though I did struggle to follow at times, I think it may have been, being distracted by the narrator, the tone and voices changes made it difficult to follow.

Excellent story line
Well paced and intricate storyline. Couldn’t have guessed the outcome- well I did but I was wrong every time. Nice touches of humor throughout. Will definitely be reading more Andrea’s books.

Great mystery
I really enjoyed this mystery - the setting of a tiny village which survives the year largely because of the summer tourism, as interesting and the unraveling of the crime worked really well. I’m looking forward to the next book.

Off putting narrator!
Story was decent enough and characters mostly believable but the narrator was completely off putting. Accents weren’t great and lisp was distracting. Found it difficult to focus on the story!

Cliche and uninteresting
Not sure what this book wanted to be but whatever it was it could probably have done it better
