Summary
A lesbian romance about breaking all the rules.
Viva Jones was great once. A top 10 tennis player with a grand slam trophy to her name, she had the world at her feet. Then an overzealous lineswoman's bad call knocked her out of the US Open, and a persistent injury crushed her career. While battling to return to the game she loves, a chance meeting with the lineswoman, Gabriela, forces Viva to rethink the past...and the present.
Away from the court, Gabriela is sexy, athletic, and lives for her career as an umpire. She seems to be falling for Viva as hard and fast as Viva is for her. There's just one problem: players and officials can't date.
Contains mature themes.

Absolutely Ace!
This is my 1st story by C Blue and I loved it . If you like the drama and excitement of tennis than this audio is for you, I definitely recommend a listen. The story just flowed effortlessly and enthralling me into wanting more. I love HEA with such passionate characters and their struggles.
The narrator Claire was exceptional and brilliant in her performance.

Smashing
Injury and rules are a significant part of any sports person’s life and this book draws together these two aspects of tennis well. You don’t need to love tennis to enjoy this book as it is a well read, heart warming story.

rules are rules
having this happen to me with a work colleague, I get it, in our case it was wrong of them, we married, have 30yrs 3 children 5 grandchildren bought a house, but I've seen it also cause problems with splits, even with other family and one is fired.
the story is really well written, and narration is good, jealousy of other tennis players, struggling with injuries, family life, a well rounded inclusive story, and I read whilst Australian open is on being a fan, the tennis play in story is encompassing and exciting, but you don't need to like the sport to enjoy the book.
Well worth listening to.

A good romance with a tennis background
This is an entertaining and enjoyable romance. Our heroines are good and just about believable. The tennis background seems well researched and Viva, the professional tennis player has some things in common with real-life player Sam Stosur. Australia is well described and the narrator does a good job with Gabriella's Spanish accent.

An insight into a very different world from mine.
Someone narrating a tennis story needs to know that a 0 score is spoken as ‘love’ not ‘zero’.
Other than that the narration is good and the accents are accurate.
The story is rich and compelling.
