Summary
On the tiny Scottish island of Mure, Christmas preparations are even more hectic than usual....
Especially when their motley staff includes a temperamental French chef, a spoilt Norwegian kitchen boy who can't peel a potato without mutilating his own hand and a painfully shy kitchen assistant who blushes when anyone speaks to her.
Can they pull it together in time for the big opening?
And can Flora help her family find happiness this Christmas?

Wonderful
This book is a wonderful warm hug. It’s uplifting and cheerful, sad and and joyful. It’s everything I wanted it to be and more. A wonderful escape back to Mure.

Narrator change
I didn’t have an issue with the narrator, she has narrated a few other of Jenny Colgan’s books, I wish they had kept the same woman just for sake of flow. I’m sure there was a reason why they switched narrators but I do think Eilidh did a good job.

Like a cup of hot chocolate.
Great story and well read. Heartwarming and comforting. My only quibble was that one of the character's names changed halfway through: Marsha/ Martha.

Adorable
I've waited for this audio and I wasn't disappointed. Loved every second. Felt bereft when it ended. Gorgeous story and as always the author made me want to up sticks and move to Mure.
Tiny bit irritated by the overuse (in my opinion) of the word 'absolutely' but doesn't alter my rating.

Perfect continuation of the storylines on Mure
beautiful as per usual. I think one of the main themes of this story is about finding out who you are and being confident in your abilities, hopes and dreams! I really like this series of books as she delves into some deeper issues. The initial characters carry on with their stories dotted throughout the new plot lines. I really like hearing how the doctor and his family are settling in and adjusting to the new world they have been thrust into. Jenny Colgan continues to address this serious issue very sensitively. She also shows us what happens after the happy ever after of Flora meeting the love of her life and the difficulties in being a 21st century woman. I really hope there is more to come in this series as I feel there is great scope for plot lines on the little, but beautiful, Isle of Mure! and of course the main plot focuses on the new love interest of a young couple which is sweet and endearing.

Superb
A fantastic addition to a series I already devoured. Love the addition of the new characters and the book seamlessly continues from where it was left in the previous book. Narrator was great and it was an easy enjoyable listen.

Intriguing story line
Jenny always finds something else to add to the story. Never simply, which makes it an intriguing listen. Narration by Eilldh was brilliant.

Constantine's story is the best of the Mure book series.
I loved the way this story was woven in a such an intelligent and captivating way, you just can't help but be sucked in straight away and intrigued by the way it promises to unfold. There's a love story, of course, a meeting with familiar characters that feel like old friends and some new ones too, cooking and food descriptions, an angel decoration specially sent for Christmas and a lot more. What more can you ask for, I listened to this book again after a time as I enjoyed it so much the first time and I was still enthralled...
