Summary
A gripping, festive novel, Christmas Under the Stars by Karen Swan reveals the devastating power of secrets.
'Tuck yourself in under a blanket and get lost in the adventure' – Heat
Worlds apart. A love without limit.
In the snow-topped mountains of the Canadian Rockies, Meg and Mitch are living their dream. Just weeks away from their wedding, they work and play with Tuck and Lucy, their closest and oldest friends.
But when a polar storm hits, tragedy strikes. Alone in the tiny mountain log cabin, Meg desperately tries to radio for help – and it comes from the most unexpected quarter, a lone voice across the airwaves that sees what she cannot.
As the snow melts and they try to live with their loss, the friendship Meg thought was forever is buckled by tensions, rivalries and devastating secrets. Nothing is as she thought and only her radio contact understands what it is to be truly alone. As they share confidences in the dark, Meg feels her future begin to pull away from her past and is forced to consider a strange truth – is it her friends who are the strangers? And a stranger who really knows her best?

Great story with a little romance thrown in
Took a little while to get past the tragedy, feeling quite depressed for s chapter or two but wonderful, real feeling characters and setting along with a feel good factor at the end make this a lovely Christmas treat.

Out of this world!
I love Karen Swan books and I adored this one - she certainly didn't let me down!!
Meg and Mitch seem to have it all, a beautifully romantic cabin in the Rockies, he owns a snow boarding company and she enjoys a job in the town. One night, just a week before their wedding disaster strikes and Meg is forced to Radio for help. The only problem being is that Meg has never used the radio before. However, she does make contact with someone who manages to send help, and someone who is simply "out of this world"!

Another great Karen Swan story
This is my third Karen Swan audiobook and I’ve been pleasantly surprised each time. I’ll definitely listen to more. Perhaps an odd choice for the title of this book however a Christmas barely features

Took awhile to get into this….
Tragedy, lots of shouting, lies and secrets under the stars is a more apt title. Big fan of Karen Swan but getting a little fed up with the word Christmas in the title, I know the majority of the books conclude on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day but please be a bit more creative with the title. I nearly gave up on this story but stuck with it and eventually everything turned out ok. Oh be careful with the volume if listening with AirPods the narrator really does like to scream the arguments.
