About this listen
The world ends not with a bang but a hiss.
Since the Rise of Magic, soothsayer Journi McCutcheon has faced supernatural sycophants, dated zealous zombies, and battled possessed pediatricians, but when an eccentric client hires her to investigate haunted pickles, her day goes from weird to worse.
Only demonic dills are the least of her newly acquired problems.
What begins as a nuisance call ends in apocalypse when she stumbles across a mass grave and discovers that the cats therein aren't just dead--they're harbingers of extinction.
And magic is on the endangered species list.
To save her family and Deviants everywhere, she must set aside her feud with all things feline to end the threat.
Before it ends her.
Cat Me If You Can is the exciting prequel to Crazy Cat Lady, Gemma Thorne's number-one best-selling debut novel. Packed with quick wit, spell-slinging heroines, and cats, it's a new breed of urban fantasy.

Zesty and fun !
Loved the Zesty heroine - Journey, and her fabulous family. Granny - what a role model for how to get it done!!
Narrator has a voice I would like to have on other audio books. Loved the writing style - funny in a down to earth way.
I really liked the story line, how the issue of not accepting exceptional gifts can sour others with jealousy and hatred - and how the 'deviants' defend what is theirs, with a peculiar and eccentric-crazy style of dignity.
Fun, fun fun !!

Original with a Quirky Bunch
This was a great start to The Hissing Booth Chronicles! Journi is a paranormal PI who has dealt with many weird things, but she has a phobia of cats. When she goes to investigate some demonic dill pickles, she comes across a grave of cats that are harbingers of extinction. Can she overcome her fears to save her family and other Deviants? I really loved Journi’s unapologetically snarky personality, her slingshot and marbles, and crazy, quirky team. Her grandma Jo was amazing- she rides dragons and has a pigeon that poops bombs. The addition of their politics and magic to an apocalyptic version of our world is very well written. There is (obviously) a trigger warning for animal cruelty, so if that isn’t your thing, you might want to skip this series. This book was filled with humor, mystery, and so much magic and I loved the originality of it!
Lynn did a fantastic job with this narration! She managed to bring every character’s unique personality to life and give them their own voice.
