Detailed and fast paced.
Really interesting book, it’s a bit gossipy, but backed by facts and linked to significant moments in the history of 20th Century. Capote is the common thread but the Swans and other side character are at times more interesting. I loved it. Narrator was excellent.

A tale of a very queer man
Brilliantly read and written story of a very strange and beguiling man. From a poor background to heights unbelievably high, who conned his way into the gain and unrealistic lives of very wealthy and gain women.
I think Breakfast at Tiffanys was the highlight of his career, the rest is just a story of while and intrigue, sex and romance, which exemplifies Truman Call he's while life.
An interesting and very well written and narrated book.

Wonderful insight to an era of beauty, fun, fame & sadness
Thoroughly enjoyed this look inside the worlds of the rich, glamorous, famous and entitled era, many of whom we all knew in some way. The book brought a colourful insight to the other side of these peoples lives and of those close around them.

Just loved this
Yep, yes loved it. A balanced, non-obsequious look at the lives of these women and Capote himself. No fawning, just a realistic re-telling of an era filled with as much tragedy and delusion as it was magical and beautiful.

The pace is perfect. I simply loved it. Lately I have spent money and time on some horrible bloggers life story, so boring and self absorbed it's sickening. I thought I knew it all about dearest Tru and his life? And his swans. but nope.. . This author knows how to give glory to the story, Its brilliant !!

A wonderful listen
This was a very well written and researched book and brilliantly narrated. My only gripe is the author states that Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis returned to America having divorced Aristotle Onassis which is not the case as he died leaving her a widow. Divorce may have been on the cards but it never actually happened.
