About this listen
Burn the Bullshit: How to Live Before You Die, is the must for personal development. Read by the author, former firefighter turned psychologist, TV personality, and serial entrepreneur, Stephen Doran.
"You're going to die, we are all going to die, that I can guarantee, what I can't guarantee for you is that you are going to live" - Stephen Doran
In this interactive audiobook, Doran arms listeners to fight back, in a big way!
Burn the Bullshit is a frank and honest blueprint to completely annihilating these limiting beliefs. This, however, is not your conventional approach to "positive thinking."
This audiobook takes you on a journey of personal growth, with humorous anecdotes, backed by psychological research, and topped with wisdom, passed on from of some of the most successful people on the planet.
The 'Chapter Challenges' throughout the audiobook will have you identify what is really stopping you from getting the life you deserve, and the grand finale will even see you using the powerful act of physically burning your disempowering beliefs, in one of the most life changing exercises you will ever experience.

Thanks Stephen. Just what I needed, just when I needed it. Very easy to listen to. Down to earth, yet crammed with useful psychological theory. awesome!!! Loved it.

If you are kind and want to get far in life.. read this
I have to say, reading this book at first I wasn’t sure. I felt it was one of them cliche books or one of them self development books that I’ve already read. (The 7 Habits of Highly Successul People, Atomic habits, Rich Dad Poor Dad etc..)
However, it really did outline some of the bullshit.
My only wish was that I read this book a few years back (when I was mid 20s!) This book has more reassured me what I’ve done in the past 2 years, is ok and not selfish. I would definitely recommend this book to others who are kind, full of integrity but doubting themselves in terms of finding that balance between doing right for others but doing right for yourself. This book reaffirmed my belief that you need to be ok, to help others be ok. (Loved the flight announcement analogy as this is one I’ve used in the past to explain and justify reasoning!)
If people around you make you feel self indulgent because you are bettering yourself as your dreams, then maybe they are a crab! (Yes Stephen had crabs)
It is hard finding your feet with success when all you know is to be kind. The world is kinder than you think, if you allow yourself to see things differently. This book will help you see that.
Some great links to relevant real life people and situations.
Definitely a huge fan of the kindness economy and this book actually ticked the same key principles for me. It also really helps define how you can have a commercial brain and a charitable heart and how that’s ok.
Good read. Well done.
