About this listen

Meet the men of Manning Grove, three small-town cops and brothers, who meet the women who will change the rest of their lives. This is Marc’s story....

Officer Marc Bryson doesn’t believe women should be in law enforcement. Ever. When his older brother, Max, is promoted to the small town’s police chief the first thing he does is hire a woman fresh out of the academy. Then makes Marc her Field Training Officer.

Determined to follow in her late father’s footsteps, Leah Grant has the moxie to break any glass ceiling that stands in the way from becoming a police officer. Even if that means proving to her coach - who only wants her in his bed and not in the field - she’s worthy of being a permanent member of the force.

Working in a man’s world, Leah challenges Marc’s misconceptions about women in the line of duty. But as they struggle to separate their work life from their undeniable chemistry, things continue to steam up and get a little kinky. These two officers of the law must toe the line after being caught red-handed.

In the end, can Leah prove to Marc that she is good as backup as well as in bed?

Something about Men in Blue

When I started this book, I was sure I could not love Marc more than I did Max....but Jeanne St James has my heartstrings tugged in two directions now! Marc is put in charge of training rookie officer Leah Grant. With a chip on his shoulder, he begins her training, but the idea of a woman police officer is not one he favors and is not afraid to let her know it. Leah will do anything to prove she can be an effective asset to the force, and Marc's jabs just make her try harder. And the foreplay begins. This sizzling hot couple kept me captivated the entire book. Leah is a force to be reckoned with. She is tough, and knows how to put a man in his place. Marc is that alpha male with that chauvinistic tone, and he still can make a woman's heart patter. But these are not the only things that make this book so good. I loved the family scenes, especially the interaction with Marc's father. Getting to see Amanda, Max and Greg also gives that continuity and feeling of coming home as I listen. Enjoying a couple of laugh out loud moments along with a hot, passionate love story makes for a great listen, and this was exactly that!

Bringing these characters to life needs a team of narrators that can provide a variety of voices. Jason Clarke gives the Bryson men that authoritative, alpha sound, each with their own voice. I love his ability to give Marc the attitude and turn it around and show a slight vulnerability. This guy is a tough one, and Clarke shines with him. Leah is a headstrong, confident woman, and Ava Lucas fills her with that great voice. You can hear her frustration, her indecision and her passion all coming through with the different inflections Lucas uses. Plus, we get to bring back Greg, which I absolutely love! This is a wonderful team and fantastic narration.

Another hot brother

I thought after listening to Max and Amanda’s story this series could not get any better. I should have known better.
Leah Grant, a strong, confident, no nonsense woman, wants to work in a predominately male occupation, a police officer.
Marc Bryson is placed in charge of Leah’s training, and he is not happy, being of a mind that women shouldn’t be in this occupation.
I laughed, I praised, Leah as she proved repeatedly to the conceited, egotistical Marc how wrong he was, at work and in the bedroom. Way to go Leah you made the women in this world proud.
This by far is my favorite in The Brothers in Blue series.
In addition to that Jason Clarke and Ava Lucas made the story even better in there narration.
This is my fair and honest review for the author Jeanne St. James thank you.

God... these awesome brothers....

Marc has been assigned a rookie. A woman cop, fresh out of the academy. He is not too happy. She is smart and a quick learner but those are not her only qualities. I love to read about strong female character and Lia is one of those. Also Greg cracks me up as well as Amanda and Teddy. The Bryson boys are great and I cant't wait to listen to Matt's book.
As always with the series narrators, sexy voices, good listening.

I love this series!

Jeanne does it again. Written so well, you will fall in love with not only Marc but a very strong independent woman! Ava and Jason bring these characters to life in the best possible way.

DNF

I couldn’t finish this book. The narration - particularly the female - was stilted and wooden. The way she portrayed male characters made them sound sinister and just plain weird. The story itself was also severely lacking.
