Summary

When Skye Callahan’s boyfriend tells her he’s been cheating with her best friend, one thing becomes clear. She’s nearly lost it all. No family, no friends, and now, no boyfriend.

Fortunately, Skye’s got her bookshop, and she’s beginning to think that’s the only thing worth holding onto.

Unfortunately, something comes flying through the front door of her store, leaving her wondering how things could possibly get any worse.

As the head of operations at the Westwood Company, Cooper Westwood didn’t need to add another thing to his plate. But fate had other plans, and now he needs to fix Skye’s door.

He should have done his job and left.

He didn’t.

And when a situation arises, giving him the opportunity to help Skye, Cooper does just that. Unfortunately, after the most recent betrayal, Skye’s heart has been hardened, and she’s not interested in what Cooper has to offer.

But Cooper knows there’s something special about Skye, and he wants to give her everything she’s missing in her life.

Great book

Ah I’m really enjoying this new series. The characters are engaging and entertaining. Cooper and Skye couldn’t come from more different backgrounds but that doesn’t stop themselves for being exactly right for each other. The emotional rollercoaster ride is wonderful and I got swept up in their story very quickly. Ms Evans stories have a distinct way of drawing you in and keeping you not only entertained but fulfilled at the end of the book. Saying that I always struggle with what to read next and often need a reread of past books after. The narration as always is excellent. I find this really enhances my enjoyment of the story.

Cooper & Skye

Teddy Hamilton and Ava Erickson voiced Cooper and Skye, masterfully. Skye was sweet and shy and after losing so many people in her life she struggled to strike new friendships. Cooper came from a big family where nothing was missing but sometimes he could be impatient. They couldn’t be more worlds apart but somehow they clicked.
I loved Skye. She’s been through so much since she was young and her latest loss felt like the beginning of the rest of her life. Meeting Cooper and her family really brought her back to enjoying life and the things she was missing.
This was a feel good, low angst audiobook and pleasantly enjoyable.
