Summary
Alexis Rayne is anything but soft. She’s trained to kill, collect her paycheck, and ignore everything else. But when an old flame pops back into her life, she struggles with her emotions. Meanwhile, someone—or something—evil steals a bunch of powerful items, threatening the lives of everyone on Earth.
Alexis isn’t a hero. She didn’t sign up for this crap. But it’s because of her that these items surfaced in the first place. Now, she has to clean up the mess she made before it’s too late.

Love this!
This story has me hooked! Alexis has an attitude problem which I love and the narrator portrays it perfectly. However the narration is a tad slow so I did speed it up to 1.2X: alexis finds her weird family growing in this book and her moral compass is questioned and pushed back to due north. The world building in book one sets book two up perfectly and it’s a seamless read easy to keep up and well thought out. I recommend this book 100% and if you prefer the plot to spice this Is for you, we know the character has *you know what* as she needs it to survive but there is no details around the actual deed. This series will have you giggling and gasping it’s a one of a kind!.
