Summary

Witch hunter and new VC Warrior, Bishop Valentino, takes pride in his duties, both past and present. Never once has he doubted his past as a witch hunter. That changes when a beautiful, independent witch occupies his mind more than he's comfortable with.

Helping his new brothers of the VC keep all the Dragonfly Coven safe from the diabolical warlock, Orjyll, is Bishop's number-one priority. When that priority begins to shift and his focus is pulled away, his allegiance to the brotherhood is at risk.

Saving the world is something Bishop and the Warriors tirelessly do every day. But keeping witches safe is something new for Bishop, and if they fail and the Grail women fall to what the Fates bestowed on them many years ago, Hell on Earth could come swiftly.

To lose the epic battle between good and evil is not an option. Bishop has to find balance between his oath to the brotherhood and his heart. If not, life as he knows it will change forever.

Note: This audiobook includes a bonus novella, A Warrior Christmas.

A Double Helping Of Tension, Action and Humour.

I'm a huge fan of this series and own both A Warrior Christmas and Bishop on Kindle. However, I couldn't resist buying this "two-fer" from Audible. I love Teresa Gabelman's writing style, how she paces her plots, how the mysteries and threats come to light and how she balances tension with humour.

Unlike the other books in this series, A Warrior Christmas doesn't focus on the romance on one particular couple. Instead we get to share the perspectives of many of the Warriors and their Mates as well as getting to know Raven and the Dark Guardians. The romance aspect in Bishop is firmly focused on Bonnie and Bishop. Although their relationship began to grow in previous books, it's within this story that it blossoms and is concluded.

Jeffrey Kafer's performance, is once again outstanding: He IS the voice of the VC Warriors. His performance embodies the strength, power and "alpha-ness" of the male characters and although he doesn't change his voice dramatically for each character (male or female) the subtle variations to pace and tone certainly transport me into each and every scene. I can feel the emotions reverberating through my ears and through my body.

I'm already emotionally invested in the VC Warriors and love the new characters that we are being introduced to. The Protectors world has grown dramatically over the few books and I love the new paranormal world that is getting the Gabelman treatment. I can't wait to see where we're taken next or which stoic badass will be brought to his knees by his mate.
