About this listen
One sexy carpenter bear shifter. One sassy human with a sweet, sweet cinnamon roll.
Allie Rowe is in a bind after drunk raccoons do a number on her business, Sticky Sweet Bakery. With a major event coming up, she can't afford to be out of commission . . . but she can't afford to fix things, either. Her meddling father thinks he'll play matchmaker when he hires sexy carpenter and bear shifter Dax Mitchell to lend a hand.
She's already played the rejected mate game, and isn't going there again, thanks. Bear shifters are trouble with muscles. Shifters are off limits!
Dax won't take no for an answer, making her wonder if he's helping from the kindness of his heart, or if he'll require some sort of repayment . . .
Dax is under pressure to take a mate before the fates rob him of his strength. His dying father's wish is to see his son mated. A staunch bachelor, Dax is inclined to change his mind when sexy, curvy Allie offers him a taste of her sweet roll.
When an unexpected enemy makes himself known, and time winds down on his chance to take a mate, Dax must decide how far he'll go to claim his fated mate.
Contains mature themes.

one inconsistency I could not get over ...
...spoiler ahead, you may want to skip this review if it bothers you.
I could not get over the fact that his father did not had Dax until he was in his 90s, yet Dax had to mate before he turns 34 or he loses his chances forever. It threw me off so much I could not concentrate on anything else!
overall nice quick listen, if you can get over plotholes and predictability

Cute shifter romance
....with a ton of delicious baked goods, some sabotage, horrible ex, a important deadline and yummy smex too. Despite the ex the story is quite light and short with great narration.
Included on KU and audible plus catalogue too

Sweet and Fantastic romance
Sweet and nothing savory about this lovely bear shifter romance. It has a very easy going flow with an adorable setting with honest characters with a dash of rock hard abs. I recommend this short story.

The narrator put me off!!
The story was ok. It could have been better. My main issue was the narrator. She basically whispered the whole book. I had to turn the volume up. I didn’t think she’s the right voice for the book. I DNF it!!
