Summary
Live the adventure. Go BZRK.
Michael Grant has worked on children's books for decades, including Animorphs with his wife K.A. Applegate and Everworld.
The audiobook (and novel) is only one piece of the grand picture. From the gobzrk.com website the story will be an interactive multiplatform project.
They take the names of madmen because madness is their fate. They descend into the tiny places, down where the mites leap and the lymphocytes ooze and the spark of human reason fires like lightning from sizzling neurons. Down in the meat. One by one they join the fight. In the macro, in the nano, in both at once, they fight for life, liberty and the inalienable right to be crazy.
BZRK is their method. BZRK is their battle cry. BZRK is their doom.

Good YA book
Good YA book with sci-fi aspects. Brilliant reader who gives good energy to each person and action. Increases tension as the action ramps up.

Love the story, not a fan of the reader
Love love love the story, very interesting. Recommend 10/10
However! I’m not a fan of the narration. It’s distracting and hard to follow. There are awkward breaks which confused me as the listener. Theres no emotion or dedication to it. He simply seems inexperienced and like he doesn’t really feel like doing it. Hopefully it gets better as the series progresses.

If you're a fan of the Gone series, avoid this
Any additional comments?
This book started so well, lots of violence, gore and intrigue. Things I expect from Michael Grant novel. But at some point it started to get rather tedious and I mentally blanked out a few times and had to rewind the audio only to realise I've not zoned out of anything of importance.
Great potential for this novel to be fantastic, and anyone who is a hardcore fan of nanotechnology within literature will love this, but it all seemed a tad too clinical and descriptive at times.
Narration is good however. Evers-Swindell does a good job with the multitude of characters on offer. I would note that his attempt at female characters is rather hit and miss however.

Great!
Loved the original story. Got a bit lost with all the characters, their names, and who they all were, but that wasn't the book, that was just me being rubbish with names!
