حازت هذه الرواية على المركز الأول لجائزة المجلس الأعلى للثقافة وذلك ربّما بسبب موضوعها الشائك الذي تناولته فهي تتحدّث عن ظاهرة الاغتراب التي يعيشها الشباب بعد الربيع العربي وتركّز على مرحلة فقد الأب وجدلية الموت بشكلٍ عام عن طريق قصّة حب بين رجلٍ مصري وامرأةٍ سورية تنتهي بالزواج وبطفلٍ يملأ عليهما بضحكاته البيت الدّافيء، لكن ما تلبث هذه الصّورة أن تتدمّر بهروب الزوجة إلى أمريكا مع ابنها لأنّها لا تشعر بالأمان في الوطن العربي المضطّرب بالحروب والصّراعات السياسية لتبدأ الحكاية..

"شرودٌ أبيض" حكاية شابٍ طموح يرفض أن تضع الحياة قيودها في يديه ويأبى أن تهزمه وتقهره حتى وإن سلبته كلَّ أسلحته وقيدته بالأصفاد..هي حكاية الرّمز "الشرود" الذي يعتزّ بقوته ويُعجب بنفسه دون أن يدري بأنّه سيذبح حتمًا ولأبخس الأسباب..
