Summary
The morning breeze felt warm as Gracie May decided to go outside and play. She carried her favorite dolly, the one with the soft body. She loved that dolly. She named her Carrie. Her hair was soft and smelled of sweet, ripe strawberries.
She sat in her favorite spot. It was a magic spot for Gracie May. The grass was soft to her feet, and the flowers always smelled so sweet. Animals gathered to watch Gracie May play. Gracie May loved animals and made beautiful flower crowns for them; she placed it around their small heads. They loved Gracie May, too; she was gentle with the animals.
Being with them made her feel happy, and she made the animals happy, too. Spring seemed to be a magical time, with the earth coming alive. Waking flowers and fresh grass. It was magic watching the flowers awake after a long winter's nap. Spring was her favorite season for so many reasons.
Drip, drip, drip. The sky began to cry with the sky's tears falling as fresh drips. Gracie May decides to dance, and she feels like she could fly. Round and round, she twirls. Her bare feet were dancing, her toes feeling the cold chill of the puddles. She dances and sings! Down comes the raindrops, splish, splash, splish. Let's run for cover dish, dash, dash. Drip, drop, pitter, patter - the rain won't stop.
I forgot my umbrella, no matter. Why not dance for a while longer? The earth needs a drink of water, and the trees need to grow taller. The rain tickles Gracie May's little toes and drips slide down her lovely nose. The frog's favorite time, to watch as Gracie dances and sings. The sky unfolds as a beautiful bow begins to show!
“Rainbow, Rainbow, what is it I see? A pot of gold just suddenly appeared. Is this gold for me? Is there magic that comes from the trees and through the sky? Way up where the birdie’s fly. Shall I touch this precious gold, and will more magic unfold?”
