Summary
Gerard Kremer Jr. and his wife, Toon, learned from the many conversations with his father and other witnesses that Ans van Dijk, a Jewish woman who was executed after the Second World War for collaborating with the Nazis, was the only suspect in the betrayal of the Frank family.
After 75 years, Gerard Jr. has now revealed his father’s and other witnesses’ true story that has led to the unravelling of the betrayal.

Gripping.
Kept me engrossed with its courageous characters and acts of bravery. Hearing the last 10 minutes was fascinating. For fans of WW2 history, it’s worth a listen, even more so for those who grew up reading about Anne Frank and subsequently being drawn to the stories of Jews being hidden in a Holland during The Occupation.

Excellent!
It’s funny, sad and happy all at the same time. Another unsung hero of the Second World War. Loved every bit of it, narrator was particularly great.

An uncovering of a betrayal
Enjoyed this very much. A great story that needed to be told so we can understand more how things were for the Jewish population of Amsterdam

Dreadful narration and weird accents!
Could not finish. The worst issue was the narration. It was toneless, emotionless and wooden. Totally lifeless narration. Additionally some absolutely dreadful accents - all variations on English regional accents! Why? It's set in the Netherlands! The story is actually quite boring and tedious. Putting Anne Frank in the title is clearly a marketing ploy because Anne Frank is not part of this story. Ans van Dijk is a tiny part of this story, but only really crops up in the final two chapters. Thank goodness this was free on Audible because it would have been a total waste of money otherwise!

Absolutely nothing to do with Anne Frank
Apart from one mention towards the end, talking about 2 families of 4 being arrested, the whole story has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the story of Anne Frank. Her name or her family's name is not even mentioned ONCE! Total disappointment...
