About this listen
In this revised edition of An Evening with Johnners, which contains previously unreleased material, the sheer warmth of Brian's personality comes across to the listener, and it is virtually impossible not to feel at one with the members of the highly appreciative theatre audience.

An evening with Jonas, his life on TV and radio.
There was nothing I disliked about this book and to Brian. Johnston telling his story was very pleasurable.

Wonderful amusing stories
What did you like most about An Evening with Johnners?
This was an absolute treat to hear a superb raconteur at the height of his skills holding a room spellbound with his stories, tales of a life well lived, full of humour, and richly recounted.
What did you like best about this story?
The sheer breadth of his experiences and tales were amazing, being younger I knew him mostly for his work on Test March Special, but the other tales he told were so funny and so well told. This recording will get plenty of plays with me whenever I want to smile.
Have you listened to any of Brian Johnston’s other performances? How does this one compare?
No
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Botham failing to get his leg over the wicket and the immortal "Stop it Aggers!" he manages to choke out before succumbing to the giggles again. Wonderful stuff!
