What an original topic and a fabulous first novel
When I found that this was Joys first book and that it had been rejected by publishers previously I wasn’t expecting too much but wow what a story I couldn’t put it down I had to listen to the end even faking a headache so my neighbour would let me rest! I’ve listened to most of her books and look forward to the next one. Thank you Joy for another incredible story.

Different Joy Ellis book
Narrator I felt was perfect.
Different story to what one expects from a Joy Ellis book. Some parts of the book I felt could have been edited , some bits not really necessary could have been condensed.
Enjoyed the joining of police procedure with “occult” line, will definitely try the next book in series and hope there will be more to come.
Recommend this psychological thriller.

Surprisingly fabulous
Well if you had told me I would have enjoyed a psychic, aura reading murder mystery I would have said I think not, but I really did. Will purchase the next one.

What a lovely & surprising story from one of my favourite authors !
I went with this book because of the authors note beforehand.
I love all Joy Ellis books but am not normally a fan of the super natural (for want of a better description)
Like other readers I was surprised to enjoy all the aspects of this book the Narrator was absolutely perfect for the characters.
Am now going to read the 2nd in the series & wonder if Joy may now consider writing a third ? Enjoy !

What a fantastic story
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole story, great characters, brilliantly interwoven, with superb characterisation.
To have left this novel lying dormant for 20 years was a crying shame but what a find and what a fantastic book. Well done Joy Ellis!

Auras and crime intertwined
The gentle storytelling of this book made for an entertaining listen. The way the crime was intertwined with the clairvoyant and auras was very neatly done. There was also so much love between characters am looking forward to the next book
