About this listen

A sunny bridesmaid-for-hire and a grumpy best man put love to the test in this laugh-out-loud romantic comedy.

Meet Randi Burnett—she’s brilliant, she’s beautiful, and she works for the bride. Missing groom? Intoxicated in-laws? Crying ring-bearer? You name it, she wrangles it. Too bad her personal life isn’t thriving like her side gig as a bridesmaid for hire. Recently dumped, Randi throws herself into her biggest challenge yet when she’s hired as a maid of honor and pretend best friend for an ice queen bride. There’s just one problem—the best man is infuriating, overprotective, and anti-marriage.

High school principal Will Valentine doesn’t believe in love. But his best friend is getting married after a whirlwind romance and has asked him to be the best man. So here he is, a man named for the patron saint of lovers, who doesn’t believe in the institution of marriage yet is somehow color coordinating for the event. No one is more surprised than Will when he starts falling for the bubbly and vivacious maid of honor who loves all things love, but strangely doesn’t seem to know the bride all that well.

But what happens when he discovers Randi’s undercover identity? What begins as a battle of wills between the two soon turns into a flirtatious game. Between cake tastings and dress fittings, will these two opposites find their own once-in-a-lifetime love?

It’s ok

It’s predictable but all romances are. It’s described as laugh out loud funny which I totally disagree with. But the story was enjoyable.

not to bad

the story was not funny at all which was a shame. was shocked by the male narrators voice as it wasn't the person they said it would be it was actually one of my favourite narrators Teddy Hamilton 😀 so this was the main reason why I carried on listening. Thanks Teddy you saved a dull read xx

I haven’t finished it either…. Will update when I do

Leaving this review at the moment as the only other one is from someone that also hasn’t finished it and I think it’s harsh that it’s the only review.

It’s a cute story for a day read

Typical love story. A few giggles here and there but enjoyed to listen to for the day. Slightly predictable.

Easy listen

An easy listen, the author has made a decent effort with inclusivity in the background story line. It’s not on the must listen list but was great after a couple of deep books to lighten things up a little.

good storyline but bizarre narration

I love the story and the characters but the narration is strange, why have a male and female narrator but then have the female lead do weird male voices in their "chapters" rather than having them voice their characters consistently

Annoying narrators

Story was ok but had to quit before the end. The narrators were grinding on me. Sorry to be negative but I read a lot of good books.
