About this listen
Aidan MacKeefe guards the true Stone of Destiny, using it as his pillow, keeping Scotland's secret safe that the English have stolen a fake coronation stone. And when he dreams of a Scottish angel and she appears in his life, he is determined to protect her, and believes she is his destiny.
Effie MacDuff needs to help the English find and steal the true Stone of Destiny in order to set her sister free from hanging in a cage. And when a Highlander saves her from being accosted, she realizes her luck, as he is guardian of the stone. But when he starts calling her his dream angel, what starts out as a mission to save her sister, turns into a romance with a MadMan MacKeefe.
One is willing to die to protect Scotland's secret, while the other is willing to betray her country to save someone she loves. But when they both let down their guard, the tables take a turn, beliefs are shattered as desires grow stronger, and someone's destiny is bound to change.

Great listen
This has been my favorite of the series so far I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The story is fast paced, has lots of adventure and heart pounding romance. I enjoyed the Mad men’s unusual pets. I thought the pets added humor to the story. I am looking forward to the rest in the series.

another great book
I love when books are narrated by Tim Campbell and this was no different... the story did drag a little and it eventually got better by the middle lol.... I made it to the end so that was good....

Aidan
This is the second Mad Man Mackeef book and it was brilliant.. Aidan and his sister lived in a little hamlet in the highlands and one day a gypsy girl and a few men arrived in the hamlet as secretly they were looking for the Stone of Scone, which was the Stone of Destiny that Scottish Kings were crowned from. The gypsy girl had been imprisoned by the English with her sister and she was now on a mission to steal the Stone which Aidan slept on like a pillow. Then take the Stone to the Castle in England then to recover her sister who was hanging in a cage on the outside of the Castle walls.
But the Lord of the Castle was a con man and had lied to the gypsy
As he had no intention of releasing her. This book had lots of loving and warring and bad deeds going on all time. The narrator was excellent and told the story first rate. It was a wonderful book and I would like to thank the author Miss Rose for writing this series It has been very enjoyable. xxx

another brilliant story
This is my 2nd time listening to this series and im enjoying it even more than the first time because this time I listened to the other 2 series before so I knew who all the other characters mentioned were. Madoc and Wren were in the series Legacy of the Blade which should be read/ listened to first and Onyx's father was in Daughters of the Daggers, which is the 2nd series. Then the Madmen Mackeefe is the 3rd series. Tim Campbell was brilliant as always. Now on to the next one, Ian's story.
