Summary

After Divorce, What to Do, What Not to Do is for men and women transitioning from separation and divorce into a new life. There are countless books that claim they can walk you through the divorce process step-by-step, from beginning to end. Everything from custody battles to division of property is discussed in these books, but few offer advice for the emotional side of divorce. And for those of you that believe the psychology of divorce should be left to the psychologists. Does this theory still hold true if said psychologists have never been through a divorce?

Michael Eads is not an attorney or psychologist. He's just an ordinary guy who went through separation and divorce and made all the mistakes ordinary people make. This book is for recently divorced people in that scary, dark space after separation and divorce. It is for those people who have reached a crossroads and are wondering which way to turn. Think of Michael Eads as a friend who understands and empathizes as to not only what you're going through, but how you feel. So take a deep breath right now knowing that somehow you will get through this, and that you will be okay.

Not very useful

I found this book to state the obvious in most areas and not be particularly helpful. I found the views to be somewhat outdated. Given that the author is an older gentleman perhaps this goes some way to explain this.

To summarise, after divorce, get a hobby, wait ages before having another relationship, avoid social media and internet dating and forgive your ex.. There- just saved the time reading/listening to this!
