Summary
A meddling dragon. An evil king. A pair of unlikely heroes.
Azlana's best friend set out to save her, only to become a captive of the Fairy Queen. Now it is up to her to travel to the Twilight Realm to save Luka, but there was one thing she didn't account for: The Darkness doesn't want to go back.
When Anhedonia forces Azlana to leave the Realm prematurely, she's met with another task: reclaiming two of the imprisoned Amasai from the human king.
Wielding that much power may very well kill her, but it is also her only chance at freedom.
Can Azlana rise to the challenge, or will her desire to own her own destiny lead her to her own undoing?
Absolution is the satisfying conclusion to the Amasai Rising, a complete coming of age fantasy series.
If you like strong heroines, sweet romance, and rich fantasy worlds, you'll love the Amasai Rising Series!

Great
Great ending to the triology. Glad that Luka was saved. Good pulling together of the loose ends.

Enjoyable conclusion to the series
Very enjoyable conclusion to the series. I loved the strong female lead. Young women, especially in this age group need positive role models, even in a fantasy story. I liked the way Azlana pushed on through the trials that came her way. I also loved the way she and her friends supported each other and stuck together. The series is a great coming-of-age story, as Azlana grows and learns so much from the first to third books. The story itself has plenty of excitement, action, and drama. Although the series seems to be targeted to teens/young adults, I think anyone who enjoys a good magic/fantasy story will enjoy it.
The narration was very good and the characters' emotions were well and passionately voiced. I did find the pace a little slow and listened at 1.3x on Audible.
I received a free copy of the audiobook via StoryOrigin and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
