Summary
Rachel Holley has always dreamed of a wedding - the white dress, the fairy tale, and, of course, the happily-ever-after. But when her fiancé breaks it off the night before, claiming she doesn’t love him, Rachel’s fairy tale ends in ashes.
Homeless, hopeless, and feeling like her life has been completely derailed, Rachel must start over in all sorts of ways - and hold her head up high in the fishbowl of her tiny village. The last person she expects to become a friend is Sam West, the taciturn owner of the Bell, Thornthwaite’s rougher pub, and a little rough around the edges himself.
But as Rachel gets to know Sam, and sees him caring for his orphaned nephew, she finds herself drawn to this enigmatic man. Nothing about Sam is what Rachel expected in a life partner, and yet she can’t deny their increasing closeness. But can love flourish on the rebound? And will there be a vicarage wedding after all?

Safe story
As this is the 3rd in the series, and having listened to the previous 2, I still cannot get over the mispronunciation of Keswick, it really is sooo annoying, and had hoped it may have been corrected by the 3rd book, clearly there is no such thing as proof listening. The story is safe and predictable but an easy listen.

An enjoyable listen.
This is the 3rd book in the series I have listened to, and I thought it was slightly better than the previous 2. I had hoped, however, that by this time the narrator would have been told the correct pronunciation of Keswick. Otherwise, the story was well narrated.

3rd LISTEN IN SERIES
I really enjoyed listening to the 3rd book in the series all about Rachel Holly. I felt this book was stronger than the previous two listens as it has more depth.
The narrator did her job well apart from the mispronounced word of Keswick.
I am looking forward to now listening to the 4th and final instalment of this series all about the youngest sister/daughter Miriam Holly

Not finished, taken From library
I started listening to this book as it was included with my membership. I was enjoying it as I have the others in the series.
It was removed from my books when I was half way through without warning so unable to give a proper review
Would have been better not to allow anyone to start a book when there was no way of knowing it was going to be removed

Gentle, Good for going off to sleep
Story that is just enough to get you you interested but won't keep you awake, scroll back to where you were and repeat a bit. Slow speed to 0.95, for best effect. Prolific writer and predictable author but this series is better than most of hers. Some are not worth listening to but this is ok.
